Always good - far better than the trendy restaurants. Best fajitas - and reasonably priced, best chips and salsa, fastest, friendliest service in town, best combination platters, best Tomatillo sauce

I dont understand how people could like those trendy restaurants over this.

Terrible Service. I was at Laparilla tonight with my wife, my 3 year old daughter and a couple of our friends.

We ordered a mango juice for my daughter. When she finished that and asked for more, I placed an order for a 2nd glass of mango juice. The waiter brought the juice and placed it in front of my 3 year old daughter. Upon having taken few sips, she complained of it not tasting the same. When I check, I found alcohol in it. I passed that to my wife and she came to the same conclusion as me.

When I confronted the waiter, he denied having alcohol in it. When I asked for the manager, a guy came out, tasted it and admitted it having alcohol in it. He then took the juice back and told us he would send in another manager. After waiting for over 15 minutes, another lady came out and they completely denied having severed alcoholic drink to my 3-year-old daughter. When I asked for the first manager, they brought him in and he too denied admitting it, even though the same person had admitted it 20 minutes ago. At this time, they brought out another drink telling us that it was the same and asked me to taste it. When I tasted it, I did not find alcohol. They clearly cooked up a story while we were waiting and brought out virgin drink to make it look like alcohol wasn?t served to my 3-year-old daughter.

I was annoyed that my daughter was served alcoholic beverage, but even more annoyed that they wouldn't admit - even though one of the managers had admitted it earlier.

Needless to say, this management has no moral ethics and customer service is extremely bad.

Everyone here reading this review is warned about this restaurant and its management. I am, for sure, not going there again.

I've only eaten there for lunch, can't speak on evening service.... Before eating at La Parrilla on Hwy 9 at Windward, I thought all Mexican restaraunts were the same. I must say that I have now changed my opinion. La Parrilla has the softest tortillas, the tastiest beef and the best service I've had at any mexican restaraunt in the southeast. My team at work are very picky about food and this is no different. We go there about once a week and it gets better every single time. Kudos to the store manager for doing such a great job.

Terrible service and below average food. I have never been compelled to write a review either good or bad until my bad experience last night. I went to this restaurant alone. The restaurant was very crowded. The hostess offered me the option of eating at the bar. After a long week of work, I really wanted to sit at a table. I was given a pager. After my 20 minute wait, I returned to the hostess station. A different host asked me if I wanted a seat at the bar. I said that I wanted a table. He told me I would have to wait for a table to open up. I guess the tables that were already open were not suitable for a single guest. Being hungry, I said yes, but showed reluctance. The host did not even accompany me to the bar. Of course the experience of sitting at a bar in a crowded, busy restaurant was everything I expected. People were constantly bumping me, ordering over my shoulder, and reaching over me for their drinks. The bar tenders were so busy that it took a long time to get service. Since the restaurant was crowded, I expected that the food must be good. I was disappointed. I ordered carnnita - pork. The pig they used must have been a 15 year old estrogen deficient sow. It was about the toughest, dryest, most tastest meat I have eaten at a restaurant. So much for a nice relaxing meal. La Parrilla is off my list.
