“The first few times I went to this restaurant it was very good food although it's awfully noisy and if you're sharing a table you have a har.”
“This is a great restaurant located in the suburbs.”
“Great atmosphere and great service.”
Favorite Place.
Excellent food with excellent service to match. My new favorite place for celebrating special occasions.
Looking forward to returning
A different special each day of the week. This is a very happening place for a drink after work, and there are good specials for happy hour too. It seems like there a different special each day of the week...I like the Taster Tuesday...with 2oz. wine tasters of your choice of over 35 wines for $2 each...and Complimentary Tavern Hors d'oeuvres. The perfect way to end the day.
Fantastic dining experience & happy hour. Sage Woodfire Tavern has become one of my favorite restaurants over the past few years. They have great happy hour specials during the week. I have had both lunch and dinner there many times. Although everything I have tried has been great, it is hard to break away from the burger and the filet. They cook their food over a hickory oak grill, which adds a fantastic flavor to your food. I have also stayed after dinner and the place gets really lively. They usually have live music or a DJ and it turns into a really fun place to hang after hours. Check it out.;
Love it! Amazing Ribs, etc.
We've made it a tradition to eat at Sage every year on our anniversary. The ribs are outstanding...when you hear "fall off the bone," they mean it. The rib meat slides right off, and there's nothing left but the clean bone. Also, the goat cheese stuffed chicken with sun-dried tomatoes is delicious. To be honest, those are the only two dishes we've tried so far (aside from the calamari appetizer, which was also great!), but they're enough to keep us recommending this restaurant to others and to keep us coming back (now, more than once a year!)
The ambiance and service is also excellent - make sure to check their website, which lists which nights have specials on drinks. This is definitely a great place to go for a special occasion!
Lots of single men...
My girlfriends and I went there on a Thursday night (ladies night), but had dinner in their dining area. The environment and ambiance was nice, but restaurants aren't just all about that. We ordered drinks and some appetizers, both of which were only decent, or even a little on the not-so-good side.
I give them 2 stars because their food wasn't that great, but with the price that we paid? We should have gotten some better food. I won't be going back again. Sorry, Sage.
Sage Woodfire Grill. I have been going to Sage for many years. James , the owner is a cutie and I have enjoyed his restaurant many times for happy hour , a friends graduation, the same friends divorce party, and just networking for my business. I am a massage therapist and it is a awesome place to meet good genuine people who just wanna have fun. Stephanie Jackson @ Shear Amore
real good. I feel comfortable in the restaurant, the food was good and servive was excellent.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Elegant Alpharetta restaurant features a hickory-oak woodfire grill and contemporary American cuisine with market fresh fish, steaks, seafood, salads and more.
FAB happy hour. This is an elegant place for a drink after work, AND you get great deals during happy hour. $5 Top Shelf Martinis and wine tasting, FUNFUNFUN. And free appetizers.
Hidden Gem. Sage doesn't seem to be as well-known as the big chains near it around Northpoint Mall, which is a shame - it's better! Sophisticated ambiance is that of a typical Buckhead/Midtown restaurant, with dark woods, cobalt blue pendant lights, and an indoor fountain in the bar. Great for stopping by for wine and appetizers, especially when all wines are available in $2 taster glasses. Food has a mediterranean emphasis, with a nice mix of salads, sandwiches, and more substantial steak and seafood entrees. Most menu items are excellent - well-prepared, elegantly plated and an amazing value for the price - but I have had a few that were less than successful. Servers are efficient and personable, and seem genuinely happy to see you - don't be suprised if they learn your name after a couple of visits. Definitely a grown-up place, and great for a date.
