Don't honor their own coupons

We went to dinner at Chin Chin on Rucker Road on Friday night. We specifically chose this location because of the coupon we found for a free bottle of wine with a purchase over $30. The meal went fine and the food was good. We purchased a bottle of Takara Plum Wine and dinner and our total bill was just under $100. When we presented the coupon we were told they would not honor it because too many people had tried to use it on expensive wine so they would not take it. Takara Plum wine retails for about 7.95 at Publix. There was no fine print or exclusions or restrictions on the coupon. They flat out just refused to take it. No offer of compromise or adjustment was made to the bill. At our place of business, if we tried to fink out on our coupons like that we would have the BBB all over our tail and someone would undoubtedly slam us here or on kudzu. We won't be going back just on principle.
