Timothy Keys is a consumate professional. My hair was healthy and grew under his skilled hands. He is truly gifted and I never recieved as many compliments on my hair than when he was blessing my hair!

I get so many compliments on my hair. Kellie Davis has been taking care of my color and haircuts for 5 years. I always feel so good when she styles my hair because I know I have a great cut and style. I am asked all the time who does my hair. Thanks Kellie for making me look good.

I've had the pleasure of being a client of Timothy Keys, not only is he a great and affordable stylist, he's also a very accessible and honest stylist. He takes his passion for hair customer satisfaction very serious and he is a great life coach while doing so. Timothy works well with natural hair (which is what i have) as well as he is fluent with the numerous of natural hair products. I met TIm in 2010 and until his move to ATL to further his love for Hair, I NEVER trusted anyone else in my head. Tim is great with with natural and processed hair, and he's great with different textures of hair, I referred a few friends to him (prior to his move) both of whom, along with myself......would travel the furthest distance just to receive the "Timothy Keys Treatment" again. He's a great stylist and a great friend.

I've had the opportunity to review Timothy Keys' portfolio of hairstyles. He does excellent work and lends credence to the Shear Salon brand. If you're a current client of the Shear Salon family then you can definitely attest to the great client service provided by the staff as well as the awesome atmosphere created in a beautiful and upscale setting. If you have yet to visit then I highly encourage you to do so and schedule an appointment with a master stylist such as Tim. You will not be disappointed. Jodi, Shear Salon owner would say "Brilliantly unexpected". I definitely agree and must add "Brilliantly exceptional".

I have been going to Jodi for my "coiffing" needs since last year - after the repeated urging of my friend who is a Jodi devotee. All I can say is that I am SO glad I made the change. I love Jodi! She is a perfectionist (in the best sense), uber personable, a consummate business woman and a cutie (albeit a happily married one, with two beautiful kiddos). It always makes me smile when I think about getting my hair cut :-).

More importantly for anyone reading this, Jodi knows how to cut some hair! She also does coloring for my friend and even recently gave her a completely new style with extensions that looked fabulous. It's clear that she's also put a lot of thought and attention into the design of her salon - it's open, inviting and always immaculate.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SALON TO EVERYONE :) I have been going to Jodi, the owner of the salon and a stylist herself, for over eight years and have followed her to Shear Salon when she opened it. I usually get my hair highlighted with some low lights, a cut, and blow out and love the outcome every time. I work in an industry myself where image is very important, and I always get many compliments on my hair. I have referred lots of other women to her and the other stylists at Shear Salon, and they have come back with raving reviews also. Throughout the years, I have had my hair a darker blonde to platinum, and every shade in between and Jodi has always done a spectacular job with it every time while keeping it healthy. I have even had some extensions in my hair in the past and currently have a few feather extensions for fun. They were a great addition, and I never had any issues with mine. Jodi and her staff have always been very professional as well as welcoming, and friendly. Whenever I am unsure about what to do next with my hair or have any questions at all, she is there to offer her professional opinion and advice, which I value immensely. The salon itself is very cool, comfortable, and chic with very fashionable accents. I live across town from her salon now, but any distance is worth traveling for this style!! :)

Great Salon in Chamblee. I cannot believe the negative reviews myself. I have been going to Shear since it opened. I have never had a problem with anyone at this salon. All the employees have always greeted me with smiling faces and very polite. I am always happy with the results of my hair when I leave Shear. I highly recommend this salon!

DO NOT GO TO SHEAR SALON FOR HAIR. UPDATE: Jodi - In response to your obvious campaign to discredit me, it is disappointing that from the outset, all you have done is dig your heels in and refuse to accept that maybe, just maybe you have some liability here. At no point did you ever ask to actually inspect the extensions and so how can you even have an informed opinion on what has caused them to fall out? No salon has an 100% success rate and so while you do have some good reviews, sometimes things go wrong and that is what happened here. Why can't you just consider that? I have 2 independent expert opinions from stylists who specialize in extensions who both agree that the extensions were not fitted correctly. I know you want me to go away quietly, but $875 is a lot of money. I have 2 young children and so cannot just let this amount of money go with nothing to show for it. I am upset and disappointed that you have chosen to come after me in this manner. The hate filled reviews that have been posted on a number of sites suggesting that my complaint is somehow not real are suspicious to say the least and a clear effort on your part to try and discredit me. Well go ahead and do what you feel you must, but please understand that all I have done is have a bad experience, complain about it to the people that were responsible and ask for the situation to be rectified. And then when I exercise my right to express my experience of your salon on review sites, you come after me, Why you feel you have a right to act the victim in this is simply beyond me.

DO NOT GO TO SHEAR SALON FOR HAIR EXTENSIONS

I went to Shear Salon to have extensions fitted and within one week over 20 extensions had fallen out! I called and they agreed to put them back in. But, a few weeks later, almost 50 extensions had fallen out!

I called again. The salon owner was unapologetic. Claimed it must be something to do with the extensions. As I pointed out to her, had her stylist felt that way surely she should have said something rather than taken $875 from me to put them back in.

She finally accepted that and agreed to my request to take them out as I did not want to risk Shear messing it up again.

In the meantime I went for a second opinion with a TRUE expert in hair extensions. He confirmed that they had not been applied correctly. The beads were not sufficiently tightened resulting in them slipping out.

I called Shear again. This time the owner would not come to the phone. Instead she had someone ask that I send an email. I did, attaching photographic proof. She had someone else call and argue that a) I must be brushing my hair wrong and b) my hair must be falling out. Both ludicrous statements. I have quite mastered the art of hair brushing and my hair is absolutely, positively not falling out.

As it is, they will not accept any responsibility and will not give me a single $ in refund. So, all I can do is share this experience and hope that I save someone else the time and money....and so I will repeat...DO NOT GO TO SHEAR SALON FOR HAIR EXTENSIONS

I just noticed on Kudzu that the day I told the owner that I would be sharing my experience on review sites and having never seen a review for Shear about hair extensions, magically a positive review appeared....hmmmm.... I guess we'll be seeing some of that here very soon....

As the owner of Shear Salon I would love to thank everyone for taking their time to write their reviews. We appreciate the praise and welcome the opportunities to make your experience even more wonderful!

Since some have found it to be beneficial to them to attempt to spread unfounded and false information about the salon I have been forced to ensure everyone has the facts, so that they can base their decision not on the emotions of others, but on accurate information. So I will once again address the fabrications of some reviews made recently. I usually do not give second thought to childish reviews, but when it comes to slandering our brand and everyone that puts their heart and soul into it, I feel obligated as the owner to ensure I do everything possible to address it in a mature and productive manner. Love you all, and thank you again for your continued support!!

One2118/Susan247,

As we have discussed over numerous conversations and emails, the extensions were applied properly as we have done so with numerous clients over the past several years without a single complaint. We offered to remove them free of charge since we unfortunately cannot guarantee the quality/durability of the hair extensions if we do not supply them ourselves. The only viable explanation is that they were perhaps not take care of properly, and/or handled with excessive force. We have done everything that we feel we can to make this right, but cannot afford to complete services as agreed to and then just issue a refund several weeks later without valid reasoning. As you will read from our other reviews, we have an extremely satisfied and loyal clientele and as with any other business, things do arise that are perhaps out of the norm, but we always do whatever we can to make it right. Our salon, as with nearly all others, is built upon satisfied, loyal customers, so we would have no reason not to do everything in our power to ensure you are satisfied. Our offer still stands to remove them for free if you would like, but if all you are seeking is a refund, or a payment to remove all of your negative reviews(per your husband's last email request), then I am sorry but we cannot assist you further. I wish you luck on your next endeavor.

First off, let me just say that after looking at the first couple reviews I find it hard to believe that they are real since they are the only negative reviews on the site, came on the same day, from 2 users that joined on the same day, and use the same style of writing. Call me crazy, but is that a little fishy??? Oh well, onto a real review....

I went into Shear at the advice of a co-worked today, and as I didnt have an appointment I did have to wait about 20 minutes for one of the stylists to finish up, but then again I guess I would be more concerned if she was completely dead and had no clients. The salon was tucked back off the main drive, but that also alloted for a nice clean parking lot with plenty of space and a short 20 ft walk to the front door.

Once inside I was blown away. I mean, was I in LA or Chamblee, GA? The place was so stylish and up beat, but with that said it still felt like home. I was immediately greeted and offered a drink and snack. There was were several flat screens, magazines and friendly staff and other clients to talk to while I waited.

I just got a cut and color but let me say that it was nothing short of perfect. The prices are far less than what I expected to pay for a salon so trendy and close to buckhead. I will be back again for sure! I have found my new salon for life. Thanks Shear!
