Good Italian with a solid waitstaff. I was in Atlanta on business and came here for a "quick" dinner as I was staying at a nearby hotel. As it happened it was Restaurant Week. I sat at the bar and had great service from Carlos (Maitre D). The food was really good. One suggestion for improvement was the salad which could have used Heirloom or some other tasty tomatoes instead of the regular, bland ones they used. A decent wine list but probably another area with room for improvement.

Basically the food was well-executed and the service was more attentive than it needed to be. I felt that I had great value for the money and would not hesitate to come back. I fyou're downtown, this is a good choice for a nice dinner and probably lunch

Fabulous Lunch Buffet. Heard amazing things about Il Mulino New York and then read about their $10.95 lunch buffet in Creative Loafing. Lunch was spectacular and the service was 5 star. I did not have a chance to check out the dinner menu but I will on my next lunch visit, which I hope is very very soon. Parking was a problem. We ended up parking in a lot that cost $12 for an hour and a half, more than the price of lunch!!

Savor the experience because this isn't fast food!. We dinned at the orginal in NYC's Greenwich Village 10 years ago next to Danny DeVito, Pearl Ramon and Gene Hackman...the Atlanta ritzier version (get it?) was every bit as good AND expensive.

The service, however, was s l o w....too slow for our friends while not a real problem for me....I did have to ask THREE times for my drink -- the oversized excellent martini calmed me down while my type A friends stayed with their impatience and wine; but, hey that’s cool -- they were right. The service did not justify the NY prices.

I found the shameless marketing like pushing a ridiculously priced wine and somesimilarly priced "signature appetizers, similarly priced, annoying.

I give the new location the benefit of the doubt and believe they will get their act together. I am thrilled Atlanta is attracting world class restaurants and this is ONE OF THEM!

Italian At The Next Level!. If you've ever been to a business dinner at a fancy NY restaurant, this is what you will experience here. Small, white tablecloth, two waiters for every table, located in an iconic Atlanta tower, and finally Downtown. These are the kind of fine dining destinations, that are helping Downtown make a comeback. Our favorite was the light, fluffy, perfectly seared and sauteed sole. Wonderful wine list. Bring big bucks!

High-end NY Italian wows downtown with out-of-site food, service and a NY price tag.. In Short
Wrapped in white tablecloths, this elegant Italian job sits next door to the Ritz Downtown, a proper extension of the famous Il Mulino in New York. The tiny dining room leaves boisterous parties in close proximity, a noisy vibe that feels as though you're in a big-city movie. Formal-yet-friendly tuxedoed servers scurry about, carving giant hunks of aged parmesan next to a trio of bread and cured meats--a welcoming on-the-house first course. The food, like the service, is classic--old school, high-end and worth the heavy price. Giant prawns looking like miniature lobsters are sweetly succulent while buttery whole sea bass is classically filleted table-side. Mammoth veal specials are Italian-heavy and instantly crave-worthy. For a proper nightcap, have the well-versed server suggest a sweet ending. Consider yourself warned, after this, any old Italian simply won't do.
