The Best Eritrean/Ethiopian Hookah lounge. Mix is a great place with a mixed crowd. 21-50 years in age. It is an East African club, so if the word African scares you then go somewhere else. But if you looking for the PARTY and you are seeking something different then this is it!!! Ladies are not disrespected here and can have a great time without get pulled and tugged on by men.

Mix opens at 7pm everyday. Earlier in the evening it's more of a lounge vibe, which makes for a nice after dinner place to smoke hookah, chat with friends, and listen to all types of music on low volume. But after 10pm on Friday-Sunday, this place becomes alive with energy. it's nice to get there early- early i mean about 10:30-11 pm. and sit back and watch the crowd grow. The longer you stay the more you will be amazed.

THE MUSIC: is a delightful blend of Reggae, Hip-Hop- old and new, traditional Eritrean/Ethiopian, Soukouss, Pop, and R&B. During the traditional music, jump up and join in!!! The men and women love to teach you their traditional dance moves. IT'S LOTS OF FUN!!

THE FOOD: food selection is limited. (it's a lounge not a restaurant) They have traditional fish and beef tibbs, samosa's.They also serve chicken wings, fish/chicken strips with fries.

A great place to go and enjoy lovely people with no drama. Everyone is polite and respectful. And it is a thug-free and smoke-free environment. As an added precaution They have great security inside and out. If you are caught smoking a cigarette or anything else you will be asked to leave. Only hookah smoking is allowed.

Go to Mix Lounge sit and relax, have a drink or some (buni) coffee, and enjoy a (shisha) Hookah Pipe. As most Ethiopian's/Eritrean's are warm and friendly people. The staff here is no exception. They are very friendly and inviting as long as you check your American ego at the door. Talk to the waitress and the staff, they are very willing to talk about their culture and traditions and teach anyone a few words in Amharic or Tigrinya. YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST and GAIN a wonderful memorable cultural experience.
