Ironically bordered by LA fitness and a smoothie spot, this greasy cheesesteak joint is perfectly on point.. In Short Some foods in life don't need to be fancied-up, or fusion-ized or made into some kind tapas plate. The cheesesteak, is one of those things. This little space that formally housed a Philly Connection didn't really miss a beat when it went solo and changed the name to a very un-original Cheesesteak Place. But who cares? This is exactly what a cheesesteak place is supposed to be like. The sandwiches come delivered in plastic baskets, there are a few spotty high-top tables and very poor decorations. The 'steaks are greasy and gooey with cheese while French fries provide the proper accompaniment. This isn't as good as Woody's or Roy's, but it doesn't pretend to be anything it's not.
