DIRTY RESTAURANT – Went to this place with some friends from out of town to catch up & have drinks and it was HORRIBLE. The waitress came to bring us drinks and as soon as she reached to put it on the table I looked in it & showed her a FLY (a bug) in my drink!!! She took the drink back to the bar and instead if the bar tender making me a new drink, my friends and I sat and watched him just transfer the EXACT same drink with the bug from one glass to another!!! The General Manager Greg came out and lacked concern and didn’t express any empathy! After paying our bill & still leaving a $21 tip to the waitress, I guess the manager must've thought about his response, because he returned to the table and said that it just “didn’t sit right” with him & he then offered to make another drink. I politely declined because its VERY disgusting knowing that the bartender did that and all I could think about was the fact that the previous glass I was served drinks in probably wasn’t clean! They lack cleanliness. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME!
Unbelievable experience – I normally do not write bad reviews or any reviews about an establishment; however, I feel as though other people need to know to stay away from this restuarant.
My teatment at the Ultimate Sports Bar was completely rude and unacceptable. The bartender was rude to me the entire night. When I checked on the status of my food he responded by saying there were other people at the restuarant and I needed to wait. When the food came, he slammed it down and rolled his eyes. The icing on the cake came at the end of the night when I got ready to leave the restuarant, the server was missing in action so I paid my bill with another young lady working there. When I left the restuarant the server literally ran out into the parking lot and accused me of not paying my tab. The young lady I checked out with let him know I did pay my tab. He then looked at me and walked back into the restuarant without saying a word.
I spoke to the manager about his behavior and the manager justified him! He said that it was normal for him to follow customers to the parking lot if he thought a customer didn't pay the bill (in what world is this okay)? Seriously? Is this an acceptable business practice? It's really unfortunately that some people have no idea what customer service means. I will not ever go back to that restuarant and I would never recommend it to anyone. Please stay away from there!!!!
GREAT BUSINESS AND PLACE TO EAT – ive been going here since it opened and all i can say is i have a great time all the time its in my neighbirhood amd the prices are good and for the quanity of food u get and im always going to b a customer. An Ultimate Disappointment.... – So where do I begin? I guess I can go back to when the "Ultimate" first opened. I would guess that it was around 2008-2009. This was the probably one of the best after hours spots for the urban professional in the Camp Creek marketplace area. For the first few months, the food was great, you received great portions, and the service was pretty decent. The prices were fair, and it catered to the 25+ professional adult crowds. Lets fast forward to today. This place is simply a price gouging, fake version of a "sports bar". Why is this called a sports bar? Having a building full of projection screens? This doesn't constitute a sports bar. There's not one sports related item in the building. No pool table, no video game, no dart board, no sports paraphernalia, no anything! The name should change to "The Lounge" because it's not a sports bar. The clientele has changed, catering to a more hip hop influenced crowd. Hats, t shirts, baggy shorts, sunglasses and oversized jewelry etc is a now constant presence, in oppose to the once before sport coat and slack or after work attire customer.
On a Thursday, I ordered wings, fries, and a coke for lunch. The bill was $17.25! 12 wings were $9.99, a side of fries was $3.99 and a coke was $2.99. Seriously! They do offer a .25 cent wing special on Tuesday, but I tend to like wings on other days other than Tuesday's, but I didn't think that I would be gouged for wings the other 6 days of the week.
There have been drastic "cost cutting" measures that are now in place, to reduce the operating expenses. The restaurant doesn't open until 4 pm on most days of the week, and the prices are simply INSANE. From $10 well drinks, $6.50 Corona, to $13 top shelf, these prices are on par with eclectically modern and well-appointed 5 star downtown Atlanta establishments. Other measures also include not turning on the lights during the day, reducing the portions of food, serving "fake $5 shots of Patron ( it's actually Milagro) as well as having a skeleton crew of a staff in place.
Now on to the owner and the running of the business. Over the years, I've heard various rumors about the egocentric owner that plasters his name/face on every project he's involved with, much like Donald Trump, minus the billionaire status. Let's call him a mere "thousandaire". The thousandaire charges house fees, like strippers, for things like broken plates, glasses, thrown away silverware, etc. The last time I checked, this is called a cost of business expense. With multiple claims of discrimination, harassment, as well as other rumors the thousandaire has reserved parking spots in front of the location with construction cones present, and with a permanent VIP section available him at all times. I've eaten lunch there on payday and there were security guards present for employees to pick up their checks. Can you ever remember one time in your life when there needed to be security to pick up your check from work?
In closing, I hope that this review not only gives you an idea of what to expect when come to "Ultimate" but I hope that it gets back to the owner of the establishment, and opens his eyes up to what’s wrong with our community and our culture as African Americans. Being a predominant black area, it's sad that he would initiate these behaviors and unethical business practices towards his community. You have to sustain some level of credibility to your name, your reputation, as well as to your community. Give the people a quality product, make them feel like they're welcome, and I promise you that you will be successful for years. Continue the practices that you've decided to invest in, and I'm certain that the "Ultimate" will be gone within a few years. Overall, go across the street to Red Lobster, Longhorns, or Chili's. It's better food, better service, better management, cleaner, and it's much much cheaper.
WORST PLACE EVER!!! CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS TO DEATH!!! – IN NOWADAYS, CUSTOMER SERVICE MEANS A LOT TO EVERYBODY, WHICH MAKES A PERFECT SENSE SINCE AFETER ALL, THAT IS WHAT DIFFERENTIATE ONE SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS TO ANOTHER THAT IS SINKING AND ME BEING A BLACK SCHOLAR, I WOULD ALWAYS LOVE TO SUPPORT BLACK BUSINESSES, HOWEVER THIS PLACE HAS BEEN GOING DOWN THE HILL DAY AFTER DAY. I HAVE BEEN GOING THERE FOR A QUITE FEW TIMES TO BE EXACT SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN OPENENED. I HAVE BEEN NOTICING A LACK OF COURTESY, EMPATHY, KNOWLEDGE THAT ARE ESSENTIAL WHEN YOU ARE IN THE RESTAURANT BUSINESS. SO, ON THAT NOTICE I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY AT THIS PARTICULAR SPORTS BAR. IF YOU DECIDE TO USE YOUR CREDIT CARD, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO KEEP YOUR RECEIPT UNTIL IT IS CLEAR ON YOUR BANK TRANSACTIONS, A LOT OF FRAUD HAS BEEN GOING OVER THERE!!! IF YOU DECIDE TO GO THERE BECAUSE AFTER ALL THE FOOD IS QUITE DECENT, USE CASH AND DO NOT NOT EXPECT ANY KINDNESS OR PROFESIONALISM FROM THE STAFF INCLUDING THE MANAGEMENT TEAM THAT CAN BARELY SPEAK ""ENGLISH""" PROPERLY. IT IS SO FUNNY MY WIFE AND FEW COWORKERS STOP GOING THERE EVEN THOUGH I KEPT GOING THERE TO GIVE OTHER CHANCES DUE TO THE FACT I AM MORE TOLERANT AND HAVE BEEN IN THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR ABOUT 11 YEARS!!!!
MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR PROMPT ATTENTION.
football man – i love my football and this is where me and boys went last week end and we had a good time ,eating, and they had alot of specials on drinks and the ladies were looking good to. football time GO FALCONS THIS YEAR
The spot to take your 21&up friends – This is one of my top 10 nightspots to go to, its got an upscale hip-hop club scene (nice ambience / good dj / loud music) with the amenities and menu of a tgi fridays and then some, but even better. I came here on a Saturday night with some good friends to show them a good time (they were visiting from out of town), it was the advertised club nite, We were lucky to get there when we did because the parking lot next to the place was about to overflow, (it is a popular spot). We had to wait for about 30 min. for a table but the host made sure to keep us updated when one was available (via my cell phone). Even though we had to yell to get our order, our waitress never missed a beat, was very attentive and was good with making suggestions on what to drink and eat. We ordered 2 of the sampler appetizers with the potato skins, (jack daniel's glazed) chicken wings, mozz sticks and chicken strips. It was only three of us and there was still food leftover and even though the mozz sticks were basic, everything else was pretty tasty.
The first time I came here they had their really popular Tuesday specials (which is still going on), and that is .25 cent wings and $2 mixed drinks, and during the day the parking lot will be crazy overflowed (line will literally be out the door if you don't get their early enough).
The Ultimate establishment is 5 stars excellent – my wife dd woods was so right, this is the spot. we just moved here from cali and we enjoyed having dinner here for my daughters b day and me and my wife are going back fridays for sum partying . I really enjoyed watching game and the carding at the door cause we are older. the staff and mangers were professional and very informative and efficient. thanks to waiters and keep up the professionalism
Best Place on southside – me and my family went here and it was so good. i had the lobster tails and my husband had a thick steak and the kids had chicken fingers and wings, we had a great time and the staff is very nice and i love the decor. Im going back to try the calmari my mom had that. The whole experience was wonderful and they took care of my daughters birthday cake. thanks and u are a great asset to the community and hope this place stay around keep up the blac business like this one doing so good.
