Best Oysters and Lobster Bisque in Atlanta.
Steamhouse has the best Lobster Bisque I have ever tasted. The oysters are ALWAYS outstanding, whether on the half shell or the wonderful fried oyster basket. Make sure you ask for Leigh. She has the reputation of being one of the best bartenders/waitresses in the Atlanta are. Be careful....she takes no crap off nobody!!!!

So glad they are back!!.
I loved their Buckhead location for years, but I am an even bigger fan of the new spot in Midtown. All the charm of the old place - but more much more room. The bisque is my favorite - and you can't go wrong with any of their specials (crab, oysters, etc). Prices are unbeatable. Bartenders are friendly and super-attentive. I suggest eating at the bar (Mary Helen is particularly nice).

Lobster Bisque....bowl of deliciousness.
This is a great place to go if you are ever in the ATL..Midtown is such a fun area, and Steamhouse manages to serve excellent seafood at more than reasonable prices. This is all served up in an inviting and laid-back environment. What a great place to kick back with friends/ family and enjoy delicious food.
And don't you dare visit Steamhouse without a bowl of that bisque....mmmmmmmm

This Place rocks.
If you have not been to the Steamhouse Lounge since it moved to Midtown, you need to go check it out. They have lots more space but the same cool atmosphere and menu from the original in Buckhead. There are two levels and a huge back deck. Lots of TV for sports too.

Buckhead's original seafood shack re-opens in Midtown in the former Element space..
In Short
The Steamhouse's relaxed service and grungy dining room has a frat house friendly feel. There are huge slide-in booths in the downstairs dining area and a festive second story patio. Seafood boils are the main draw; they come in individual or sharing sizes with snow crab legs, jumbo shrimp, clams and oysters. The signature Frogmore skillet is a popular choice, with lots of seafood, corn, potatoes, sausage, garlic bread and a spicy butter sauce. The lobster bisque is short on sherry but loaded with lobster. Those who want a lot of food for little coin should go with a fried seafood basket, with mounds of fried seafood, seasoned French fries and oniony-sweet hushpuppies.
