Hidden jewel in Lithonia. I saw this place when I goggle seafood near lithonia and tried them out. i was surprised at the quality of seafood and the cozy atmophere of the diner. The fires were a little blah but the crab cakes and shrimp made up for it. i no longer need to drive downtown for good seafood.

Best place for Lobster bisque. I go there everytime I am in Atlanta. The people are friendly and the food is great. The oysters on the half shell are good but add Rockefeller to that or the parmesan garlic and I am in heaven.

Expected better..... After reading the another review posted elsewhere, we drove appox 17 miles to visit Steam House. This turned out to not be our best culinary decision since living in Atlanta. Service was a bit slow, no real bar and my steamed veggies lacked steamed, go figure with steam in the name of the restaurant. The fried fish was very decent however the rest of the meal was very lack luster. At almost $18.00 for an entree I really expected better. Interestingly enough cocktail sauce for the overly done shrimp was not readily available. The place was clean and the staff friendly, but that will be my first and last trip to Steam House. Save yourself some money & visit Summit Deli next door a great affordable neighborhood deli with good food.
