A pleasant respite from Brewhouse on
crowded game days -- Midway is a great, comfy spot to watch soccer matches with knowledgeable fans. Plus, friendly service, easy (free) parking and their great menu make it all thrice as good.

Favorite Soccer Spot.
The Midway opened up in East Atlanta about two years ago. I'm surprised there aren't any soccer watching reviews on here yet!
It's where real soccer fans gather year round (not just when its 'in' to watch soccer.) They put up a tent over their HUGE patio with double screens.
Midway has a World Cup Passport to pick up points each day you attend during the cup which after WC = $$. Brilliant!
Pluses:
The AC works! It doesn't get miserably hot and stuffy like brewhouse.
TVs everywhere you look, so not a bad seat in the house
Very friendly and cool staff
Open early for all games
You can get breakfast
Best Chicken Fingers I've had
YOU CAN WATCH SOCCER/FOOTBALL THERE!
It's in a cool area
It's also a great place to watch American Football in the Fall. Go DAWGS!

Twenty four beers on tap, an arcade and a huge concrete patio play to the interest of East Atlanta neighbors..
In Short
Crafted out of an old garage, the Midway certainly understands the EAV clientele. The beverage menu pairs exclusive beers for hop-hounds with indie-cheap staples for those about to hit the EARL. The surprisingly large space feels a little like a gymnasium-sized dive, with wood-backed booths and an elongated bar glowing under the bright, beer-stocked cooler. A sort of drunken-playground for adults, buzzed patrons can challenge the mini-arcade in the corner, throw darts by the bar or enjoy a beer with Fido on the large 'n lazy patio. Staffers are as unpretentious and friendly as the vibe, and expect a comfortably-chatty neighborhood crowd.
