Great spot for a drink and to share food with friends; the 10pm burger is good, but so is everything else. I love their tartare and chicken liver pate!

Known for the 10pm burger, the Nashville-style Hot Chicken is their next big thing. The cocktails are king but give the beer list a spin.

Great food, terrible wait. the food is excellent, out of this world good... But... We had to wait two hours for a table. It wasn't worth it to me. I probably wouldn't go back, even though I love the food, because of the huge wait. There are lots of great restaurants in Atlanta, and waiting two hours is just not okay for me. If you don't mind that, then go! The food is great!

Best in Atlanta. I went to Holeman and Finch last Saturday night with three of my friends. I was blown away, this was one of the best meals I have ever had. Our party gets there at about 7:30. We are told there is about a two hour wait, which is fine because you can order great drinks and apps at the bar. We started off by getting a couple rounds of beer along with the bacon carmel popcorn and the artisian cheese plate. All to die for. The garnishes on the cheese plate made it all the better and how can you go wrong with huge chucks of bacon. The next round, still at the bar, we do a round of amazing absinthe shots (these were served correctly too) along with the steak tar tar and pate. Mindblowing! At this point it has been about two hours and our table is ready. We get some advice from a server wearing a flanel shirt, we ordered all of his suggestions. The pork Belly sandwiches might have been the best part of the night. Soon after our first main courses arrive, the 10:00 dinner bell for the burgers is sounded. We did not order the burgers in time and they sold out like typical. However, the people sitting next to us order two burgers and were actually full by the time they came out. I have to say that I have never eaten off a strangers plate before, but for these burgers...we all did! Thank you to our wonderful neighbors. The Bread and the relish were what set the burgers apart tonight.

To make a long story short, one of tbe best, if not best places to eat in Atlanta. Be prepared to wait as it is small and very crowded, but trust me it is worth it!

Rabbit livers and bacon-caramel popcorn? Who knew!. Made reservations (yes you can do that). We saw on TV "the best burger in Atl", well we aren't so much burger fans, but we did check the website online to find an amazing menu. we arrived at 7pm on a Monday night, and were immediately seated. Our server did a fabulous job explaining the menu and making suggestions. We inquired about the famous 10 o'clock burger, he said if you dont want to be part of the 10pm mayhem then come for Sunday brunch, its a regular part of the menu with no limit on how many are being served. So with that out of the way we started to order, yes the prices are a bit on the high side, and yes the servings are small, but I would expect nothing less from a fine dining establishment. My absolute fav dishes were the rabbit livers and the sweetbreads, A-mazing. We ended with the bacon-caramel popcorn, freekin fabulous, the only downfall is that it isnt served in a giant popcorn bucket. All in all, we LOVED it!

My advice for anyone wanting to dine here:

Dont try to go on a weekend, too crowded.

Dont go for the 10 o"clock burger, if thats all you want, get it at Sunday brunch instead.

Do arrive with an adventurous appetite, different can be fun.

Do expect the tab to be high, so if you're on a budget, this may not be your place.

One of the greatest food adventures in the ATL. I have wanted to visit the temple of all things offal and great for some time now, last night I got my chance. The bar/waiting area was very cramped but did offer some great drinks (granted you will pay a pretty hefty bar tab). The food alone makes up for all the wait. The sweetbreads and Gratin of Marrow will forever live in my mind as heaven on a plate (or bone for that matter). The rabbit livers are "slap your momma" good and the bacon caramel popcorn is the food I would want on my death bed. I have been reading on here that alot of people had many complaints about the wait staff but from what I observed they are fast, friendly and very knowledgeable about the food.

An absolute gem in the dining crown of the ATL. Julian is the best waiter in Atlanta. I thought the same when he worked at Restaurant Eugene.

We've been to HF at least a dozen times, switching between the bar and the "dining room." Both spaces offer their own special ambient. However, the bar tenders are the best I've experienced in my life.

Been through the menu at least three times. Be adventuresome. That's what this place is all about.

If you base your experience on just the burger, go to Yeah! or better yet, Flip. This place is about the South.

good food, bad service. the food here is pretty nice, but no matter how nice the food is, the wait period is very very unreasonable. We had to wait an hour before we got seated, and the hostess was a bit rude.

Decent burger, don't see what all the talk is for. We went here b/c we heard the burger was out of this world good. And the fact that they only serve 20 a night I think hyped up the demand, but they serve it all during sunday brunch, which is when we went. We got there early 11:30 so we missed out on getting to try the bloody mary, which I also heard was good. But the burger was definately good, but not mind-blowing as I had expected. The fries and onion rings were way too salty, I couldn't even eat those. I think you can get a better, more value for your bang burger, at any local pub. Wouldn't return here.

Brunch it.. It bums me out to see the comparison of 5 star and 1 star reviews for H&F. And honestly, all the complaints are because of service or set up. I'll certainly admit, it's pretty much like a circus in there at times, but to me, it's been part of the charm. To those annoyed with this situation, here's an idea: go for brunch.

Hit H&F for brunch a few weeks ago, arrived at 11:30am, right when they opened, and while there were already 10 or so folks waiting outside. Once the doors to opened, my partner and I strolled in and practically had the bar to ourselves. There wasn't an issue of "not getting a burger" and it was the exact same drippy, wonderful mess they serve when half of Atlanta is asleep during the weeknights. The place was, of course jammed by the time we left, but this brunch thing might be the ticket.

Arrive early, bring the Sunday Times and a cup of coffee and wait it out for a half-hour or so. I think it's worth it.

Straight. Up. Awful.. When we arrived at 7:45 on a Friday, the hostess quoted us an hour wait for four people. We were not sat until 9:50. Going over by 15-30 min. is understandable, more than an hour is not. No apologies, no communication from hostess. Five people working behind the bar, yet getting a drink while we waited endlessly for table took 30 min. for each round. Of the five, one was actually serving customers. However, all of this nonsense was nothing compared to the attitude of the "server," who sneered with delight when we tried to order burgers. "There may be a chance for that," he said, only to return a few minutes later - no surprise - with, "Sorry guys, they're all gone. You've got to get here earlier." Huh? Not long after this condescending exchange, a couple was seated at a table and guess what came out of the kitchen for them several minutes later? Two burgers!

Put another way - the staff was incompetent, rude and arrogant throughout the night - at front door, bar and table. One wonders why they are in the food service industry and why this restaurant is seemingly successful. Food was good but not great and certainly not good enough to suffer this experience. My thought is that the problem starts at the top with owner/management, judging from the ridiculous and almost childish approach to selling their burgers. It's just a burger, after all. I will never patronize this restaurant again and strongly encourage those who appreciate professionalism and respect when dining to avoid this place at all costs (literally).
