Slow to respond, work satisfactory

Water on a hardwood floor from a leaking toilet. Called at 5pm and still no one arrived by midnight. Had to call in an insurance reclamation company to clean up the mess leak created. Roto Rooter finally showed up the next morning, two hours late. Plumber was a good guy. Problems were not his fault.
Roto Rooter is dispatched from Chicago. Right hand didn]t know what left hand was doing. Could never give me a time tech would arrive. Only, if they can't make it we will call and let you know.
No commitment, even within prescribed timeframes they establish.
Plumbing cost was a lot less than the damage it caused, which to date is $3,252 plus cost for clean up I've not seen yet.
It just felt like they lied to me during the process. If they couldn't come, why not just say so and I could have gotten someone else who could.

My water heater was leaking.I called late on Saturday afternoon and they kept me updated on the time they would be there. The technician was very helpful and professional. He arrived Sunday morning on time and completed the work quickly. I would certainly use them for any plumbing work.

My experience with the plumber that came to my house from the Atlanta location is that he was professional and knowledgeable. He arrived, introduced himself and looked at my problem.
I had an emergency leak at my water main outside. I recently had an irrigation system installed. The PVC pipe had cracked at the start of the pipe coming from the water main. Since the irrigation system is covered I also called the company to inform them of the problem. The independent contractor told me the system is under warranty and I told him I had called a plumber to fix it.
I called Roto-Rooter and they accommodated me by sending someone out as soon as possible. After accessing the problem and providing a free estimate on the price to fix it, I believed it to be too high. $700 was the initial price to repair a cracked pvc pipe. The plumber told me about the coupon on the company’s website. Even with the discount and him planning to use some of the parts I bought myself, I determined it was still going to cost too much, $460.
I was also in contact with the irrigation guy that installed my system and knew of the problem. I told him the price since his company will be paying for it, and he told me also he thought the price was way too high, and to have the plumber on site stop working. He then called another plumber to come fix the problem.
Before I knew he planned to call another plumber, I authorized the repair through Roto-Rooter. The plumber dug out about three-four shovels of dirt before I stopped him and explained another plumber is on the way. Keeping with his professionalism he stopped, packed up his things and told me what it would cost since he started. I paid him $125 service fee/partial work. He explained the review process and went on his way.
The plumber was knowledgeable and professional and that’s how I was able to get to at least two stars. I wish I had not allowed him to put shovel to dirt as I think $125 is too much for shoveling four piles of dirt
Great Service!

Awesome service by Roto Rooter in Atlanta--We contacted Roto Roter because we were having a backup problem on the main level of our home. The plumber came out to clean out the line only to find that we had a collasped pipe under our front lawn--MAJOR PROBLEM! The technician setup everything that needed to be done, and explained it in detail and in writing--PERFECTLY. All participating professionals were set in place-the digging (6ft down), locating the problem and fixing it. I watched the entire job and were extremely satisfied with the outcome. They finished in a timely manner and cleaned up the entire area. I highly recommend Roto-Rooter in Atlanta GA for any plumbing problems. The Edwards, Covington GA
