Best place for family style italian in Atlanta!!. Vita is THE place to go with a group! I recently went to Vita with several girlfriends and we ordered a bunch of diffent dishes recommended by the (very attentive!) waiter and he also recommended wonderful wine to accompany our meal. We had so much fabulous food and it was so great to be able to be able to taste all of the different dishes! I especially enjoyed the steak, fish, and pasta dishes. Oh and the salad was incredible!!!! We enjoyed every bit of it! We all can't wait to go back! And I hear they have great new music on the weekends!!!!

Tuesday Wine Tastings Are Best Deal in Town!. I hosted my husband's surprise 40th birthday party on the outdoor patio, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The servers were attentive and made excellent suggestions of family-style appetizers that would stand up well to the outdoor, finger-food setting. We went back later to the Tuesday night wine tasting and found this to be the best deal in town. For $15 a person, we got generous tastes of 6 wines (3 red/3 white) and a selection of heavy appetizers & pizzas. The wine reps were knowledgeable without making you feel like an idiot if you couldn't recognize the black currant overtones in their wines. This was one of our most fun and reasonably priced date nights ever!

Wonderful way to spend an evening!. My husband and I brought a group to Vita last weekend, and certainly will be back this weekend. We ordered a wide array of items including salad (the spinach is out of this world!), appetizers (mussels with gorgonzola), pasta (rigitoni ala vodka) and the most delicious steak I have ever had (Mediterranian garlic). After dinner we stayed to listen (and dance) to the band. What a great way to enjoy a night out and not break the bank!

Great Brunch, Poor Service. I went to brunch with friends a few weeks ago on a Sunday. It was nice outside, so we asked to be seated outdoors-we were the only table on the patio. The waiter appeared slightly annoyed that he had to serve one table outdoors, but the restaurant was fairly empty. As we ordered entrees, the waiter corrected our pronunciation of cheese, and when the food was brought out-i heard him tell the server, "that goes to the one with the striped shirt." Referring to me, and the server still handed me the wrong plate. The food was delicious and when dessert was offered, my friends declined and he assumed that I didn't want dessert either and took my menu without asking me. I ordered tirimisu. May try brunch earlier when waiters feel like waiting!

Best New Italian Restaurant!. I had the pleasure of dining at Vita last weekend. This restaurant, I found out, is owned by the original founder of Frattellis. Tony L. has resurfaced and opened Vita and its unbelievable! I had two specials. 1. was the sausage ravioli (half plate) and the swordfish (this is Tony's own creation, he told me, and its the best thing I've ever put in my mouth!) I'M SERIOUS. you wont be disappointed. I love the half plates. You can also get family size servings.

Best Garlic Filet in town. My wife and I tried this restaurant the other night, and it is spectacular. Atmosphere was very welcoming. Service was prompt and courteous. The garlic filet was phenomenal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great food! A real experience!. It's family style, so go with a few friends and try a little of everything. For four of us, two appetizers, one salad, and one entree was enough -- the portions are very generous. The pasta is brought in fresh and definitely tastes like it. The calamari was perfect --- delicious sauces! We also loved the melon wrapped in prosciutto.

Ask about why the place is called "Vita" ... it's a heartwarming story.

Go for the brunch. Vita has an awesome brunch on both Saturday and Sunday that lasts until 4pm, so if you are a late sleeper, this is the jackpot. The Bloody Mary Bar offers a variety of condiments so you can make yours exactly how you like it - everything from the standards like olives and celery to stuffed olives, asparagus, and even bell peppers. If you don't like those, Bellinis and Mimosas are perfect companions to the Brunch menu. While the Chicken Frittata and the French Toast are great, you just can't beat the "design your own" omelettes with a wide selection of ingredients. Fluffy and not overcooked, the omelettes melt in your mouth.

Attentive service, reasonable pricing, and a comfortable atmosphere make this a brunch worth going to.

DISRESPECTFUL OWNER. I have just returned from Vita and I feel completely disrespected by the owner. My boyfriend and I were having a lovely meal; the waiter and the food were good. The owner, however, got to me. We started off the meal with a bottle of the Wente Morning Fog white wine, which is very good. We then proceeded to get a Caesar salad and white wine and garlic mussels for appetizers. We liked those very much. For dinner I had the special which was gnocchi with a vodka sauce and peas and my boyfriend got a chicken dish which was a bunch of food thrown together in a bowl, he liked it but I don?t think that everyone would be pleased by that presentation. The owner had come by a bunch of times, it was actually getting annoying it just seemed like he wanted to toot his own horn. Finally as we were sipping on our cappuccino and coffee deciding which dessert we were going to get a family walks in and sits at the table in front us. The owner then walks behind our table, practically on top of us and without even asking us he opens the curtain right beside us. At first I thought he was fixing it and then I was puzzled by him doing this. I said to him why are you opening the curtain? He then has the nerve to say to me that the girl at the table in front of us likes to look at the traffic on Peachtree and that if we were regular customers we?d be treated the same way. I told him that we had been there many times before (not that it should even matter because a customer is a customer) but that did not seem to matter, all he could do was shrug. I was shocked! I have never been treated like that. We had to sit there as cars drove by with lights in our eyes so some spoiled brat got her way while there was an empty table behind us that was right beside the window as well. We got our bill asap. We will never go back there and made sure the owner knew that when we left.

Good food. Excellent service!!!. Went with a party of nine and had the family style meal. Really good apps, good salads, decent entrees, but superior service. From the host, to the manager stopping by to check on us, and (of course) our server, we felt welcome from the start. With good prices for the overall experience, I would recommend this for most occasions.
