Amour in the Plaza Midtown, is a great place to start or finish the evening. We tried their Middle Eastern menu, and something is lacking. I guess when you dine at Alladin's Grill in Sandy Springs for kabobs, and everything else Middle Eastern, you get spoiled. But it is a lovely place for drinks.

Pros: Great For Drinks!

Cons: Not Great For Food!

I went to Amore last weekend with my wife and another couple per their recommendation. All in all we had a great experience. The place is huge but beautiful; I mean extremely elegant; private booth with beautiful red curtains, high ceiling, domes, beautiful arches, all kinds of custom work all over the place. They were playing Ottmar Libert's Barcelona Nights as we walked in which made me feel I was already in Barcelona (used to love listening to it at Cafe Diem) My Kabob was excellent. My wife had a lamb pizza and she loved it. Our friends were quite happy with their food too. Every single drink I had was fabulous and the whole atmosphere was great. After a while we took our drinks and sat outside. the weather was real nice and felt even nicer with the drinks :) We didn't leave until close to midnight. In general, I think the food was great and the whole experience is worth it. Also the food was unbelievably affordable for the location and ambience. I will definitely be back with more friends.

Pros: Great food, fabulous drinks, great ambiance, very friendly staff, very inexpensive, free parking

Cons: servers could be trained a little better, but again this is still a casual place; not fine dining
