Editorial Review for 3 Legged Cowboy – by Brian Suber
In Short
There is a glut of gay country bars in Atlanta with the advent of The Wild Mustang, but this boot-scootin', booty-shakin', beer-guzzlin', down-home hotspot is the original. Where the former Hoedown's left off, this watering hole perfectly picks up, with the same laid-back atmosphere, country chic and studly bartenders. Owners have made some cosmetic changes but the old heart and soul of the place remains, even under a naughty-sounding new name. s dancers take to the floor for a two-step or a line dance, fun-loving folks head to the kitschy wood-accented watering hole for some fire water. The foot-tapping and frivolity go late into the night while on weekends, crowds corral to shake the dirt off and have a yippee ki-yay old time.

Insider Tips
Know Before You GoGreenhorns may want a spot of dance lessons before they hit the floor on Saturday night. Thankfully the bar offers classes, so bucking broncs can put on a great show for their compadres after some serious schooling.
ParkingThere is a full lot in the Midtown Promenade, but it gets packed fast on the weekends.

Ronnie is the nicest, friendliest bartender in this city. He ain't bad to look at, either. And, if you ask real nice, he just might take his shirt off for you!!! The dance floor is by far the best for serious two-steppers. The music is a work in progress, but usually is quite good, though at times it can be a little too loud. All in all, though, a great place to hang out and catch up with friends, and dance the night away.
Pros: Great staff, atmosphere, and dance floor
Cons: Parking can be tough w/ the M'town Cinema/Trader Joe/restaurants sharing the same lot.

Okay... No Cover is a good thing... especially with Gas Prices so high!!! Also, the drinks were surprisingly cheap... but not watered down... not what I've come to expect from the typical gay bars.... Built in Entertainment~! Love the Dancing Cowboys... The first thing I noticed when I walked into this Bar was the friendly, low attitude feel of it. Cute strangers came up and introduced themselves to me, bartenders waved a welcome and the bar manager even came over and said hello. I felt surprisingly comfortable there. The next thing I noticed is that the guys... hot cowboys in tight nut-hugger jeans and cowboy boots... were openly affectionate with each other, but in a male bonding sorta way... it was so hot! In a Brokeback Mountain-esq way that I didn't clearly understand, but was totally turned on by. I had been raised to think that Country Music was synonomous with Hick... but THIS Country Bar is anything BUT HICK... I also really like the way two men hold each other in a close embrace when 2-Stepping! I want to LEARN how to do that! It looks really Romantic... And I thought I had given up on Romance! Well 3 Legged Cowboy has Rekindled the Fires in my Heart, let alone, the Fires in my Loins! LOL! Meet me there some night! I am planning on going to the Free Lessons on Wednesday nights. I don't own a cowboy hat or anything, but I'll be wearing my boots, a pair of painted on Levi's and my Nautica Performance T-Shirt... So many Cowboys.... So Little Time!
Pros: Friendly, entertaining, inexpensive, romantic
Cons: Can take some driving around to find a parking space on the weekends
