Don't use them!.... To keep it short and simple. they are very unorganized, kept sending the bill to the wrong address, and now I get a letter 2 months after i moved out that I was till using their services because they didn't take the hint to discontinue the services when i told them to. An extra $60+ that i am getting charged because of their ignorance.

Gas South. Be Warned to Stay Away!. I received my first bill from Gas South today. The service period covered only ONE DAY! 02/01 through 02/02/11. The bill was $64.29. I used 3.51 therms of gas for the 24 hour period. Charges includeded $3.51 for gas, $9.95 cust serv fee, AGL Pass Through Charges $46.63 and $4.20 taxes. I called Gas South to discuss my $64.29 bill that covered one day. They tried to explain their way around the large AGL charge for a single day but to no avail. They said that is what I had to pay for that billing period. When I asked them why they didnt wait or suggest I wait a single day in order to start me at the beginning of their billing cycle so I could avoid that large fee for ONE DAY they ignored my question and talked about something else. I asked if they could tack that day on to the next billing period and they said they arent able to change their billing periods, they said the billing periods are set.

For the life of me I can not understand how they can charge $46.63 AGL pass through for a single day. Honestly I feel I was set up. I called to establish service in mid January, they told me my service would start 02/01, I am sure they are full aware of their billing period as they told me they are set. It is like they wanted to start my service at the very end of the billing period in order to be able to charge me the AGL charge for that billing period. I feel ripped off. I will cancel my service ASAP. I am going to get in touch with the BBB, Clark Howard, WSB who runs their ads and some other agencies. STAY AWAY!

their rates fluctuate 100 %. Even though I don't use gas for heat my gas bills have doubled. Through the summer they are about $30, in the winter my bills have exceeded $60. I understand the price of therms goes up 10 to 20 cents and when I use 20 therms in a month this will raise my bill $2. These people are crooks. Call them up and the more you are frustrated the more they love talking to you.

worse company ever. looking for a atlanta gas marketer? Do not use this company. They have been the worse ever that I have had to deal with. Their rates are high and... just wait till they sock it to you with their high fees.. maybe you use $5.00 of gas.. your bill is past due, expect to pay a wopping $10.00 late fee.. oh and when you call them.. if you expect them to treat you nicely with respect and care about your concerns.. forget it.. they are only out to rob you of whatever money they can rob you of, Im currently under contract with them but it ends soon and I will be leaving them pronto.. so they loose me as a customer and so will AGL (atlanta gas light) because... of these problems with Gas South.. I have decided to convert my only gas appliance (water heater) to electric.. so gas south looses a customer as well as over prices "pass through" charges AGL.. great job Gas South. So if your looking to join Gas South, dont be fooled.

DONT BE FOOLED. Don't get Gas South! They advertise these oh so low rates, then charge you a HUGE pass through charge. I am paying $50-$70 PER MONTH for using 0-2 therms at my office. They lock you in for a year with these "great discounts per therm" Use SCANA. I pay less than $55 at my house using lots of hot water.
