Lime is terrible.
This is the second time I've visited Lime. The first time, I was using my Groupon and we found a hair in both of our meals. The second time we came (tonight) the waiter forgot about us and it took over an hour to get our meal. We had to ask for napkins twice, water twice, pepper twice, napkins and silverware. I am extremely disappointed in the service of Lime. I will be posting this comment on Yelp, FourSquare, etc.
I have visited various restaurants in Atlanta and this is, by far, the most disappointing. Unfortunately for the chef he will lose my service. My food was excellent. So kudos to the chef!!!!
Best Mexican in Smyrna!.
Was here with a party and the staff was very friendly, food was brought out in a timely manner and the drinks that we ordered were really delicious and were nice and strong, just like I like them.
I'd highly recommend this place to others and this place is great if you want to host a party, they have a nice section in the back that gives privacy and the staff is very accommodating.
The Lime...HMMM. Great atmostsphere and okay drinks, but the food wasn't so awesome. Besides the queso, which you could get at any Mexican restaurant, the rest of the food was not good. I will say I'm kinda picky but I will try new food and it was definitely nothing to write home about.
Below average. We visited this place in the Village on a Sunday afternoon. I was surprised how empty it was until I tasted the food. The tacos are bland and boring. The mole sauce was inedible. The chips and salsa were just ok. Plenty of other places to go in the area, I would not go back or recommend this spot.
Don't Go!. The food is ok, if you just want to try something different. Nothing monumental. Would not recommend to friends or rave about for a special occasion or to just hang out. The staff can't help but be awful, the manager had a terrible attitude also. The area where the restaurant is located is extremely nice. I would recommend going to another restaurant instead. Probably will eventually close unless alot changes. It's not the prices or the food thats bad, it's just not typical mexican>>>at all.....it's the staff. Will be tempted not to tip. I was bigger than that though. I would give it a thumbs down. Avoid the experience. Try another spot. Sad, but true!
Don't bother. We just moved to West Village and naturally wanted to visit the restaurant offerings here. We were a little surprised to have such a lackluster experience at what we thought was a mid-level to high-end mexican cuisine place. Our waitress was kind but in addition to tilting her drink tray perilously close to our faces, her neglect of us in a deserted establishment only added to our disappointment after the food arrived. No flavor, color cooked out of everything and not a place we'll visit again.
Substandard Mexican Fare. We were excited to try this restaurant for lunch since it's close to our home. We tried a variety of the tacos, to include the chicken with mole sauce, the fish taco and the lobster taco. We also had margaritas, which were pretty good. However, the mole sauce on the chicken was powdery and had a bitter, burnt flavor. I could not eat it. The fish taco was okay, but nothing comparable to the fish tacos I ate in Southern California. The lobster taco was. . .lets say.. .not fresh. Ocean, fishy flavor and I also could not eat this. I am sad to say that we will not be back to this place. It's a nice atmosphere and the margaritas were fine, but the food made us both have an upset stomach and we could not eat anything for the rest of the day.
Pricey, but very good!.
I've gone to Lime about once every 2 months or so and would go there more often if the prices came down. I think the food is amazing- lots of flavor and inventive dishes, but the quantity/price ratio is out of proportion. My husband has to order 3-5 taco dishes to leave full...and that's with an appetizer. The entree dishes are plenty big (the shrimp entree is my favorite!)- but the tacos and starters are tiny.
With 2 drinks a piece, an appetizer, a salad split (the Caesar is perfect!), an entree for me and 4 tacos for my husband...our bill is approaching $80.
Over priced!!!. We paid $12 for a Mango Mojito, it was delicious but as a light weight, I thought for sure a $12 drink would give me a slight buzz! NO!!! The tacos are expensive $4-$6 for a very small 3-4 bite taco...I was very disappointed in this place! Such a let down! Great atmosphere but lacking due to the price! We have no problem dropping $50 for dinner but we want to walk away a little buzzed or at least full. I had to make sandwiches for dinner once we got home.
Mojito lovers---Lime is the place!!. I cannot say enough good things about Lime. It's very hard to find a "nice" place to dine OTP. Not only is Lime a cool, loungy-type restaurant, but they have excellent drinks--real fruit juice, real cuban-style mojitos--AND the drink prices were very fair for the quality. Most cocktails were under $10. The food is a little more expensive than your average Mexican restaurant, but still, you get what you pay for---and everything I tried was delicious. Try the Carne Asada Taco, it has some sort of potato puree w/ it--whatever it was, it was delicious. My date loved the empanadas and did I mention desert???--- so good! But be forwarned, this is not an all-you can eat, stuff your face for $20 kind of place. A small taco is $4.50, and 1 will not fill you up. But, if you'de like a great drink, a great atmosphere, and to sample some excellent gormet Mexican--well than Lime is your place!
