“Seriously, it might be the best place I have been to in Atlanta when it comes down to what you get for your money (wine wise that is).”

Not Top at all.
Guess I can't get over the poor service by the wait staff. My husband and I had to ask for everything...even a dessert menu. I was going to get a glass of wine with dinner but our server was nowhere to be found. The food was good but not good enough to justify being treated with indifference.
I began to wonder if maybe we weren't trendy enough to fit with this establishment's own view of itself.
We are excellent tippers...usually more than 20%. We could barely muster up 15% for the disappointing evening.
Best service in Atlanta. If you're looking for a week-night dinner destination, I would definitely recommend Top Flr, especially if you're looking for something different. The food is nothing special, but the wine list is appealing. And more than anything, the waitstaff is incredible. They are masters of knowing when you need something and knowing when you prefer to be left alone. Service is so important in the entire restaurant experience, and this place really respects the art of delivering quality service.
go!. I'd heard both good and bad things about this place but I thought I'd go anyway and see how I would feel about it. I'm glad I did b/c not only was the food incredible, but so was the service and general ambiance - they have a lot of natural light w/ the big windows and the decor is chic & simple, making the relatively small space feel a lot biger than it really is. I had the gnocchi and my friend had a salmon dish - both of which were delicious! Plus everything was super affordable. I would definitely go back.
What a gem. Stumbled across this neighborhood gem a week ago. Great food, great service, friendly atmosphere. Will be back soon.
bigots!. I am African American my wife is caucasion, we stepped into the door of the establishment, with an actual 9pm reservation. Then another couple, about 3 minutes later walked in, also a man that was solo. The host finally came, passed by us and went for the other couple, asking them how many were in their party! Then asked the other gentleman how many was in his party! Finally asked us [last]. We will NEVER go back to the place again! It is an overpriced, bigoted, highfalutin, ostentatious, pompous piece of c***!
speaking of pretentious.... This place, as another critic spoke of, is so pretentious! The staff themselves think they are in some sort of swank NYC elite club. The food is mediocre, nothing to proverbially write home about. I would never go back to the place ever, especially with it's À la carte menu! You would be better off going to Whole Foods, about a mile away, than to spend your hard earned dollar here.
Pretentious waste of money..
Does the phrase "pretentiously unpretentious" mean anything to you?
Don't let the prices on the menu or the barebones, midrange appearance fool you: This place is a-la-carte, and it adds up incredibly quickly. When people here say "inexpensive," they must not be comparing it to other restaurants with plastic chairs.
The food is reasonably good but unexceptional.
Basically, if you want to spend money pretending to be a hipster bohemian, sitting in a faux-retro chair in a drafty attic, go here. If you value your cash -- or authenticity -- avoid it.
Classically Trendy, Palette Pleasing and Inexpensive!. I went to dinner with 3 other friends on a saturday night and we all loved Top Flr! We had a reservation for 10pm but decided to walk in at 9.15. We were seating within about 20 minutes. It was a touch drafty where we were seated but that was a minor let down. We liked most of what we ordered...lamb skewers, oysters, mac and cheese, potatoes, duck pasta and crab lobster, hanger steak. I tried a bit of everyones food and was generally impressed. I loved the crab lobster. I have a delightfully brooding class of Rioja! I def recommend this place to hang out with friends for a for a hot date! Oh, and our waiter was ever so friendly and efficienct!
Fantastic Food & Wine; Reasonable Prices. Top Flr has quickly become one of our favorite "go-to" restaurants. It is great food and wine with reasonable prices. For first-timers, I definitely recommend the hummus appetizer. I also highly recommend the grilled asparagus and tomatoes. And finally, for dessert, the chocolate truffle cake is fabulous! Not only do we enjoy the food and drinks, but the service has always been great for us!
