mmmmm Sushi!!!!. Everytime i eat here I get hit what i like to call "food coma" where the food is so good that it makes me feel like I'm dreaming and don't want to wake up. Try the toro, giant clam, and kobe beef. Yes real Kobe beef from Japan. I'm definitly planning another dinner soon!

The best sushi in Atlanta!. You gotta try their sushi and grilled foods like kobe nigiri, seabass, and baked lobster tail! Everything is great, but these are a must have when you go!!

Dine-In Only. I went to MF Buckhead hoping to place a To-Go order. The hostess politely informed me that they are a dine-in only restaurant. I really had my hopes set on trying MF's sushi after hearing so many great reviews. I asked why? The hostess informed me that they are dine in only because MF prides themselves of providing the freshest products. In order to ensure their customers receive their products in a timely and efficient manner, they prefer to directly present the courses to the guest promptly after it comes out of the chef's hands. She said in order to ensure such freshness, MF also goes to the lengths of having their fish flown in daily from Japan.

This sparked my curiosity even more so I decided to dine in.

As the hostess guided me to my seat, I was stunned by the exquisite decor. Honestly, I thought to myself "I bet what I'll be paying for is the ambiance, not the 'fresh' fish".

I sat at the sushi bar directly in front of the MF's "right-hand chef", Ito. The moment I sat down, he greeted me. He asked me a number of questions in order to better understand my own palate. He told me "I know exactly what you'll like"... and slowly yet steadily, I streamed through a number of outstanding dishes. The freshness was mind-blowing. Honestly, MF's sushi was like none I had ever tasted. I had the spicy tuna tartare topped with fresh quail yolk, Uni Nigiri (definitely the most natural, virginal Uni I have ever tasted!), and Negitoro Maki Roll (Toro and scallions) and Kinmedai Sashimi (Red Snapper).

Best meal I have ever had! I'm glad I decided to dine-in because now I completely understand why MF does not do To-Go orders. This place is breath-taking. It's ambiance and decor perfectly matched the decadent entrees. By far the freshest food I have ever had. And I had the pleasure of getting to watch Ito make everything!! If you do decide to go, sit in front of Chef Ito.... I guarantee he'll take care of you.

MF Buckhead. I truly believe that the service is really what made my experience extremely satisfactory.

My friends and I went on a Friday night around 8:30. The restaurant was pretty busy. We didn't have a reservation and we were asked to wait. There wasn't a long wait, but to pass the time, we had drinks at the bar. We were seated before we finished our drinks.

For starters, I'm not a huge fan of sushi but my friends are huge advocates of constantly trying new foods. I was hesitant to try anything raw or extremely "fishy". But the server kindly suggested items that the majority of other "hesitant to eat raw items" customers order. I ended up ordering the 'King-Crab Roll', "Shrimp Tempura Roll", and the "Chilean Sea-bass" (which was absolutely amazing; practically melted in my mouth). All three items were delectable and best of all... cooked!!!

We topped the dinner off with an extraordinary desert, made in-house, by their pastry chef. This desert was like nothing you can find anywhere in Atlanta. It was a 'Green Tea Chocolate Tiramisu'. Absolutely amazing.

Seriously, best dinning experience because there is something satisfactory for first timers as well as long-time sushi lovers!

Great Sushi. This is a truly one of the best restaurants in Atlanta. It has a great mix between incredible sashimi or rolls and entrees's from the Robata grill. You can't go wrong with anything you order. Although I would recommend only the adventurous order the more exotic things like the kobe beef tongue which is actually better than you would think. All in all it is one of the best restraunts I have ever eaten at and definitely worth all of the praise it has received. You have to be ready to spend some money but you will get what you pay for. Enjoy!

What's the purpose of making a reservation?. We went to MF Sushi for a friends birthday. We made reservations, like you would expect for a higher end restaurant experience. We arrived on time and we were greeted by the host. She ran to the back and upon coming back to the front told us they were busing our table and it would be a 10-15 minute wait. In that time a group of 3 came in and knew the manager. They were seated immediately. At this time, a new hostess comes over to my friends and myself and states " yeah, you know that table we told you we were busing? well, it's no longer available". As she walked away from all of our stunned faces, we decided to leave. We were treated with complete disrespect. We made a reservation, arrived on time, and in the end our table was given away to someone who did not have a reservation, but instead happen to know the Manager.

Thank you MF Sushi! Between myself, my girlfriends that were with me that night, and anyone else whom I can tell ... we will NEVER be dinning with you again.

Weekly habit. We go to MF once a week -- usually Thursday or Sat pm's....we love everything about the place from the cocktails, to the food, to the waite staff, to Alex, Chris and Gary, to the newly opened lounge in back, to the scene!

Check it out -- You'll like it too!

Not worth the time or money. This place was awful. I definitely will not ever be back here. The staff could barely speak English and the service was very poor. You could tell they wanted you to hurry and eat so they could sit the next table. Felt very rushed. Sushi was very bland, nothing new, nothing exciting and wayyyyyy over priced for what you got. This place is definitely not worth it! If you want good sushi, there are several other places worth pursuing.

Best Sushi in Atlanta. My friend and I came in for the first time last weekend and had a great time. The service was great, the sake list was extensive and the sushi was DELICIOUS... it's simple, uncomplicated sushi, no special sauces or dressings needed...the best in Atlanta.
