Albert

Although many bars have lately attempted to go the gastropub route, The Albert serves great beer and bar food done really well for the surrounding Inman Park neighborhood.

Do NOT go here. In a city where there are SO many great night spots, this place is a joke. A poorly placed candle right behind a chair literally burned a hole in my coat. When we very politely requested to speak to the manager, our waiter barked, "I already know he isn't going to do anything." When the manager did come to the table, he snarkily replied, "We can't put up 'beware of candle' signs everywhere." If he couldn't offer to reimburse me for the coat (which I believe he should have), he could have at least offered a sincere apology, not dismissive condescension. In this day and age, one would think managers would strive to deliver a positive experience for all patrons, even in the face of unfortunate events. A little professionalism can go a long way. Unfortunately, this place had none. Citysearch won't allow me to rate them with zero stars, so I am begrudgingly giving them one.

Great food, great people!. The Albert is a great place to find friendly faces, a fun atmosphere, and great food. The BBQ is the best I've ever had!

great place all around. I love the menu, it's not too much... and offers just the right type of food to go with the atmosphere. The service doesn't bother me at all, and so far it's always been fine. Fun, nice and attentive. I'm not here cause I think it's a fine dining place, where I would hold the level of service alot higher, so for the envirmonment, the food, the people and the service have been right on par. I loev that it's a family place then morphs into an actual bar at night... and the weekend BBQ is to die for.

Hate the new menu. Service can be spotty, and why oh why did they get rid of their old menu? The new menu is 1) way more expensive, and 2) they took out all the old bar favorites. This was a fun neighborhood pub that is trying to become a gastropub. Prediction: old menu returns in a few months when they figure out people don't want to pay $15 for a fish sandwich in a smoky bar.

my new neighborhood hangout. i moved recently to inman park and have quickly scouted out what would be my new favorite neighborhood hangout and this is it! They say the menu is new, and they've done a great job. I had the fried green tomatos and 1/2 chicken, it was perfect! pair that with the chilled red wine my server suggested and my meal was great. My service was great, she kept me engaged and was totally attentive. besides the servers being dressed all in black which was a tad weird, and the lack of a special to tease me with everything was perfect. i very much will be back again!

A Brand New Menu!. Hamburgers are great, but I rarely go to a restaurant hoping to order one. I heard the Albert was launching a new menu, so I was excited to go and see what they had to offer. It was awesome! I ordered the Mahi mahi and my husband ordered the flank steak. Both were delicious! I will definitely go again. And for those of you who do enjoy a good restaurant burger....they are top notch. I suggest ordering sides. The green beans and the fried green tomatoes were also delicious. I never thought of the Albert as more than just a bar, but the new menu sets them apart! It's an Inman Park Gem!!!!

Loud and Whack.. This place could be really good, but it just isn't.

1. The service is THE WORST. I mean it. It doesnt matter how many people are in the place. Unless you have a set of Double D's, good luck getting a drink from the big pirate looking bartender.

2. The place gets packed with people that live in the expensive run of the mill "loft" style apartments across the street. I'm sorry, but those people are lame, bigtime. If you like listening to "Me so Horny" on the jukebox at FULL VOLUME, you'll think it's great.

3. Park at your own risk. You'll get towed to a lot in Zone 3 if you're not careful.

Good atmosphere, true neighborhood place. it is like a bar I loved in Georgetown, true neighborhood feel. good drink selection and friendly local service

Especially like the place on Friday nights. I could make it a regular stop with just a little more upscale food items.

You can relax, chat it up, or grab a quick bite. That is what I love, the feel

Worst service ever. One of my girlfriends takes me to The Albert for lunch today. Question how do you screw up a salad? It's a salad green leafy vegetation and assorted veggies! To top it off it took 35 minutes for our server to return with our order. 35 minutes for two salads in a bar that wasn't even busy! Not a very good first impression and they definitely will not get a second effort.

Disappointment. Been here a few times over the past year and quite frankly I've given up hopes of this place ever becoming a mainstay of the Inman Park social scene. From bartenders who serve inept drinks to the inconsistant grub that comes out of the kitchen and the forgetful waitstaff that serves it. The Albert has been a total letdown and clearly an example of too many restaurants in Atlanta and not enough good talent to support them all. I shall not dine here again.
