Wednesday Night Happy Hour. I went to happy hour on Wednesday night with a few friends. Supposedly Uptown Restaurant and Lounge is under new management. Whatever the case, I had a blast! The DJ was on point, the food was great and the lemon drops were the best I've ever had--and will sneak up on you if you are not careful. Oh, what's better, the kitchen stays open all night AND parking was free. Can't beat that!

Great Wednesday Night SPot. Absolutely love the service that is given each Wednesday that I have attended. Everything on the menu is appetizing from the Jerk Chicken Skewers to the signature drink the Georgia Peach martini. It's my favorite new spot.

CONVERSATIONS After Work Wednesdays. I attended this event and my friends and I enjoyed the evening ... the host of the event is Pure Image Events & LifeStyle Management, they are really setting a standard for professionals who are looking to promote their services or business. Last week the band Sole Plai w/JJ Sylvain played and they were fantastic!! Happy hour from 6-8pm and ladies drink specials and appetizer were half price. The band played at 9pm. I would suggest this wednesday event to all professionals, entrepreneurs and small business owners. I also met author, Brennan Pearl Jr who wrote a true story about a relationship he was in ... bought the book there and finished it the next day. Will be looking forward to meeting more interesting people at this networking event on wednesdays!!

Entirely Too MUCH for WAY too LITTLE. I went to Uptown to support a party Hosted by Madison Kelly. Uptown disregarded the fact that SHE was a special guest. I feel they treated her totally improperly, as well her guests. Some people PAID even thou they we were with a special guest. We were moved out Main Vip area to be put in the hallway *eye roll* While w...e sat and looked directly into the MAIN VIP with no one in it. so in retrospect we could have stayed in that area. They didn't even offer water. Which was awesome. (sarcasm) I would never EVER attend this place again. Its over priced and shady. They do not follow threw with the promises or EXPECTATIONS of a club where you would want to host or have a party. This is where you would come if all the clubs in Atlanta decided they would close indefinitely

RUDEST PROMOTER--DO NOT CELEBRATE ANYTHING!!. I was solicited via myspace to celebrate my birthday by this girl called Candy Sims and Mr. Black boy. She literally harassed me to make sure i was booked. I had no plans so i booked my party at uptown with Perfect Fridays. I did everything required via email. I understood the line takes time to be processed but you can't tell me it took over 1hr to get through the line. Obviously the promoter was holding the line to get people through the $20 line.

Once we got in, there was NO ONE INSIDE!!! I mean wtf!?!? I asked this so called Mr. Black what was good and he was just the rudest little man i have ever dealt with! His attitude is so foul and unacceptable. How are you in the service business and rude to your patrons?!

I WILL NEVER ATTEND THIS VENUE OR EVENT AGAIN! READERS BEWARE!! THIS IS NOT WHERE YOU WANT TO GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS!!

Good riddance to them asap!!

THIS WAS THE WORST PLACE I'VE EVER BEEN IN MY LIFE!!!!!!!. My husband and i went to Uptown for a co-workers Birthday Party. Dinner was suppose to be served at 8pm, we figured we'd skip dinner and just come later to the party. Well, we arrived around 9pm to see all of her guests standing around. Get this! they were not 'allowed" to sit down until they were guaranteed so many people will eat (what a damper on the b-day girl, huh). Well needless to say we waited another 30 minutes and they let us sit after a few more guests came. Once seated they took our order for drinks. Which took forever. The menu is on a piece of photocopy paper, has about 10 items on it and are all way over priced. we decided to order appetizers only becuase of the ridiculous pricing. I ordered crab cakes and my husband ordered chicken Quesadilla (with little to no chicken i might add). And hour later.....my husbands quesadilla's arrived, no crab cakes. 30 minutes later my crab cakes arrived, they were two crabcakes on a saucer, not a plate, the size of a quarter, i took one look at them and told the waitress she can take those back, i didn't want them and was not paying damn near $20 for that mess. she tolk them back but showed up with a message for me...."the manager said i don't have to eat them but i will pay for them" I have never been more insulted in my life. I said will let me speak to the manager, because i have not touched this food and will not spend another dime on anything else in this establishment. She came back and said the manger is busy but he will give you two additional crabcakes. To keep the peace, i said ok. Crab cakes never came, mind you they took the other two back so i haven't had anything to eat at this point. We decided to leave, asked for our check 4 times, the waitress couldn't figure out anything. Right before we were going to walk out, here comes the crab cakes at 11:45pm. Remember this dinner was to start at 8pm. Needless to say the waitress never brought us our check, we decided to leave cash and gratuity with the birthday girl and got up and left. This place should be shut down! its highway robbery and they just take advantage of you at every angle they can. Please adhere to the other reviews on this site, as they are all the truth and i have experienced some it first hand.

THE WORST PLACE TO PARTY!!. I understand they have to make money but its obvious when the promoter is holding the line to make money. We got in line at 11.30pm and it took almost 25mins to get through the line. when we got in, no one was inside the club!! The birthday party we were celebrating was horrible when the promoter wouldnt even let the birthday girl come in with her mother unless she paid to come in! A**hole promoter and expensive drinks!

STAY AWAY FROM THIS VENUE AND THEIR PARTY!!!!

Nice Atmosphere, Great Drinks. I really enjoyed the atmosphere with the gray walls and chandelier, as well. It had a very upscale vibe on the inside, and the music was great. I came here during BET weekend and celebrities such as Kid from Kid 'n Play were there. They also had TY KU there serving Mexican Samurai cocktails, which I had never heard of before but found to be delicious! I am a fan. I definitely enjoyed my experience at Uptown Lounge, and will bring friends and family in the future.

Highend prices for low budget service.. I will never go to this place again. Waited in line for 45min to get inside the club with only 20 other people on the inside and 7 of them was inline in front of me. Waitress named Grace was terrible had to have other waitresses to get her for me. Food is too high for the small portions that they serve. Luckily I had wine but my boyfriend had patron and sprite, it was iced and water down. Also they don't have a smoking section and when I asked to step outside to take a smoke the security guard pointed at a no ins and outs sign and said i would have to pay to get back in. After i was able to get the promoter to tell the security guard to let me out, the security guard had a nerve to light a cigarette while I was outside smoking.
