The best part was the shampoo.
When I walked in the Salon (which is hidden behind the McDonalds) the decor looked really nice and the receptionist who greeted me was a nice older woman. I had an appointment with Nicole. She is one of those stylists who lets a bunch of other peope handle your hair because she's always busy. I got a relaxer and was based by the shampoo girl and left to sit for 30 minutes while she finished up her other client. I wasnt too upset since I was a last minute walk in but I had to wonder how often this happens. She had a male stylist shampoo my hair and it was AMAZING! He gave me the best scalp massage ever. Sadly the shampoo was the best part of my visit..
Nicole is a nice girl, but she is a very good stylist. she burned me almost every time the flat iron touched my hair. Seriously. The style was very mediocre and not really like what I had asked for, but I could tell by the way the last two client before me looked when they left that she wasnt good. I tied it down overnight to see if it would look better the next day but it still looks pretty blah..
OH! This is the big reason I decided to keep looking for a stylist: she didnt get my roots straight!! I sat with that relaxer for like 20 minutes and my roots still wavy. Even after flat ironing.
I guess you get what you pay for since she only charged me $55 for a relaxer and trim. This Salon is good if youre on a budget and wiling to compromise quality a little. You know your hair looks good when people turn their heads and compliment you. I got none of that. I even had some people ask me did I try to do my own hair lol. Thats embarassing. I cant wait until my next touch up so I can get back to my fly hairstyles..
