Tips for Stan Milton Hair Salon

Stanley has been off the planet for what, five years now. The only other real talent around has been Michael Azar, alive and well on N. Fulton.

Stan Milton's skills could never be touched!. Stan was a wonderful person with an amazing artists!! Atlanta will never have another person as talented as Stan. I grew up going to his salon when it was called Stan Milton images then Yin Yang salon. I was only in the 3rd grade when he had turned a freckle faced child to a dazzling platinum blonde! I was absolutely in shock when I found out about Stan's passing. My mother and him were Best Friends. She gave him his first dog Scarlett. They had a relationship very much like Will and Grace (the comedy show). She loved him very much and I'm sure in another life time they will be married!! With that being said, they bumped heads every now & then. Therefore, unfortunately, they had not spoken during this time and we had no idea of his passing until several months later. We were devastated!! Stan was a father figure to me and probably the only one person I have EVER looked up too. I'm now in hair school and pray that he is with me every step of the way! I know he will be! My name is Jacqueline Lee and my mothers name is Rebecca Lee and we Love you Stan. My mother misses you deeply & Randy. I wish you were here so you could help me with my hair, or I wonder if you could whisper to me who you would tell me to go to!:-) I think of you everyday.

@ NEWATL--- That must have been Johnny that over charged you, he worked the front desk and he was most diffidently a sneaky snake. Stan never would have allowed that to happen if he would have known!

The talent and vision lives on. Hey, name is brad Westmoreland I was Stans colorist and a longtime employee. after his passing, I tried to remaining in the same space. But After much thought and consideration, giving it a year with the new owner, I have decided to pursue opportunities that Stan envisioned for me, at Michael Azar salon. Come check out this beautiful modern salon at 2989 north Fulton and catch up with me and the rest of the Stan Milton crew. 4042313294

Stan Milton oasis lives on!!!!. I was so happy to see that this salon has remained the best salon in the city. I always saw Brad Westmoreland for color and Stan for my cuts. When Stan passed I wasn't sure what to do. Oasis joined with City Salon and is better than ever. Brad referred me to Zev for cuts and I couldn't be happier.

Most excellent Salon ever!!!!. I just moved from NYC and was in DIRE need of a professional, trendsetting hair stylist. I was impressed with my sister's hair that was done by stylist Kimberly at Stan Milton. The color and cut was astounding! So I decided to pay a visit to Stan Milton and meet Kimberly myself. I have fine, limp, and overprocessed hair. I wanted corrective color and a hip cut that would make my hair look full and rich. I have tried many products and have been to several upscale salons in NYC where I assumed style was A-One. However, Kimberly proved that Atanta has more style than I ever found in the large New York metropolis. She was congenial, witty, sassy, and quite knowledgeable of hair and the newest treatments available. My hair now looks like I walked out of Vogue magazine!!!! I HIGHLY recommend Stan Milton Oasis salon, particulary Kimberly because the salon is innovative and very accommodating. The products are top of the line and really have made a difference when used daily and properly. Kimberly....You ROCK!!!!! Thanks! Frizz from NYC.

Was overcharged. Hairdresser padded charge after a couple of visits

I really felt like I paid way too much for partial highlights. Tammy started out charging a reasonable price for the first couple of visits. Then I was charged $250 for a few highlights on top. I was told since she did a base and conditioner this was why the price was double from the first time. Even though I was never told upfront I would be charged more and she did only a few highlights on top. I felt like I was robbed. I have been going to salons around Buckhead since I moved here in 1990, and never paid anything like this. The only reason I changed to this salon was because my hairdresser of 8 years moved. Since paying this ridiculous price charged by Tammy , I have called around Buckhead and was told this price was not the standard. I am very happy where I am going now . The hairdresser does the entire hair with highlights, base, styles it -- everything. The most I have been charged was $151.I was clearly ripped off at Stan Milton on Pharr Road. Be careful, you will charged for the entire hair when they only do a few highlights, a conditioning treatment will be added in without your permission to pad the charge.

Changed my life! Geogeous salon in the heart of buckhead.. I visited the salon for the first time for a keratin treatment I read about in a magazine. I am already hooked. I was referred by a friend to see Brad for the Keratin treatment -- which turned out amazing. It has made such a difference in my day to day life. No frizz in the hot summers of atlanta, who thought? Later the owner came over to introduce himself and ended up shaping my cut for me --- what a big difference!!!!! Not to mention the front desk and other staff taking such good care of you while you are there. Extremely impressed and will be back soon :)))

Totally Fabulous. Stan Milton has been cutting my hair for 25 years. I drive 3 1/2 hours to go to his salon. Yes, I have had it cut locally about a half dozen times in an attempt to have someone close by, but only to be reminded that there is no one else that cuts hair like Stan Milton. My hair is thick and he is the only one that knows how to handle it. Where other stylist might spend a max of 15 minutes cutting (chopping), it might take Stan 45 minutes because he sculpts. Stan is an artist at what he does and the best I have ever seen. The Oasis is just that, an Oasis. A day at the salon and you feel like you have been at the spa. It is beautiful.

I just returned from my last visit to the salon and had a new treatment done to my hair that is fabulous. It removed the friz completely. In the past my hair would just grow throughout the day, especially when the humidity was high or it was rainy. This product stopped that completely and my hair handles better than ever. I can leave home after styling my hair and feel great about how it looks, THEN return home at 5:00, run my fingers through it and it still looks AWESOME!!! If you have a head of hair with a mind of its' own, you need to visit Stan Milton Oasis, ask for Stan and get the whole works. You won't regret it! I can't say enough, my hair has never looked better!

Elegance, Class, and Style Without Snobbery. For anyone who has ever had the privilege of meeting legendary Atlanta hair stylest Stan Milton, "elegance" is the first word that always enters the mind. Now, take Stan's personal style and, of course, elegance and apply it to the entire culture, physical setting, and standards of service at Stan Milton's Oasis and you have simply the best salon in all of Atlanta. After sampling salons and stylests around the world, I hope to never have to submit my hair to anyones scissors and color palette other than Jeffrey Todd who I followed to Milton's salon. Though this review may make it even harder to get an appointment at this highly regarded salon, Stan, Jeffrey Todd, and the gorgeous and gracious salon manager Johnnie deserve all the praise I can send their way.
