Worst in state.. If you are in search of a bad closing, look no further. McCalla Raymer (aka Prommis Solutions) is has it all: bad service, bad attitudes, unprofessional employees and 5-hour closings. I’ll try to make this brief, because I could easily go on and on.

We've had the misfortune of doing many closings with the firm over the past 5-10 years. So below review is not based on 1 closing where things did not go as planned (that can happen sometimes). Each of the many….many closings was executed poorly. The employees often don't return calls or emails. The firm requires the closing packages to be delivered a week prior to closing but then do not prepare the HUD until 1-2 hours prior to closing. Why is this an issue? Because it takes time to get your HUD approved by all the parties so waiting until the last minute delays your closing.

I hope you like their lobby, took the whole day off to do your closing and brought a book or i-pad with you to read. Expect to have your closing last several hours instead of 45-60 min (they don’t accomplish anything in a timely manner). Expect to have problems throughout the title process and expect to wish you used a different firm to close your transaction.

Despite of what anyone tells you, YOU are NOT required to use them. Sure the seller will pay for the Owners Title Insurance if you use them but you have make sure of this (or they'll put it on the buyers side of the HUD). You have to decide if the stress and your time are worth saving a few hundred bucks on Owners Title. By the way, Owners title is optional in the state of GA. Soooo… if you are the adventurous type that likes stress, challenge and unprofessionalism you’ve picked the right closing agent.

Dishonest and Unorganized. I was under contract last month with a house and after terrible findings during the inspection, we withdrew our offer and filled out the necessary paperwork to receive the earnest money back on April 6, 2012 Today (May 1, 2012), we have still not received the money. We are under contract for another home and unfortunately MC is the attorney for this property as well. I am refusing to write a new earnest money check to them until I get the other one back (they won't transfer it from one property to another). After leaving 5 or 6 messages and no one returning phone calls, we finally just called down the list of numbers until someone actually answered. We've been told "we're writing a check now, but don't come pick it up until we call you" twice in the last 3 days, and have never received a call back from them. This company is nothing but bad news and I hope reading this review will save someone from having to deal with them. I see now that I'm certainly not the only one whose had major problems with them.

Funds withheld at closing not accounted for.. A few days after McCalla Raymer was assigned (ultimately by FNMA) as my closing/settlement agent, I learned of their extremely poor reputation.

I hoped I would not have the typical experience because it was almost too late to make a change.

WRONG!!!

Home Owners Association dues were incorrectly calculated (which I noted before and during closing) on closing/settlement statement.

Attempts to resolved the issue resulted in rude responses from closing agent.

Closing was on 7/11/2011 but I am still (8/18/2011) unable to determine what happened to the funds.

I am frustrated by not knowing how to get redress.

McCalla Raymer Nightmare. I normally give someone the benefit of a doubt on first mistakes which happens to be with mine by this firm. However, after seeing the so many bad ratings, I decided to add one more because it obviously is not affecting them to make a change. No response to phone calls or emails after we assigned this firm with REO. Error on property address and bad customer service. I wonder why they are still doing lots of diservice to the community.

McCalla Raymer Closing Attorneys. Every time I'm forced to use McCalla Raymer for REO sales Closings. I have to follow up with them repeatedly to make sure that they've done thier job. Unfortunately, some of the time they do enough to say they did something, but never enough to actually get the job done. The rest of the time, they probably haven't done anything. No one whose ever dealt with them, would ever use them for a Real Estate Closing unless they were forced to. I hope someone from Freddie or Fannie reads this.

Get A Different Law Firm. We have been in modification with this firm for over 1 1/2 years. They have lost or misplaced our documents over and over again. Then we have to fax the same documents again and again. When we call in to find what our status is they would simply say "You’re in review". We found out later that they did not ever work on or case and it just sat in their office on the bottom of the pile. They are also referred to as "Prommis Solutions". They have not been truthful in dealing with us and deceptive. It is obvious that they did not have their interest in our case. I also see the same kind of reviews from others and I can identify with them. They just do not care. In our case "Litton Loan Servicing" has hired "McCalla, Raymer, LLC" Located in Roswell, GA to act in their behalf assisting with mortgage modifications. We always quickly provided any and all documents that they required. However our efforts did not matter we are still waiting for over 1 1/2 years.

They couldn't be worse if they tried. They can't do anything right, and it's pretty evident that they just don't care. They don't respond to inquiries. They screw up paperwork. They don't read paperwork. Pretty much anything that involved this lawfirm was messed up. I agree with others here. Pay to use another attourney if that's what it takes.

Worst Closing Attorney RUDE and Unprofessional. A bunch of Unprofessional cattle market attorneys, that have no concern about the customer on either side of the transaction, money grabbing RUDE people.

THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL for any real estate transaction, One thing is over the years they have maintained the worst reputation in GA, I will actually PAY to close elsewhere, if you want to waste hours of your day waiting for $6 per hour employees to treat you with No respect then go ahead and give them a try. If I can divert one client then I have saved some pain, wild horses could not drag me through their doors.

keep up the poor work and hopefully you will be the next casualty in the real estate bust.

Oh and I doubt if any of your so called attorneys give a Sh@#$, but your rating is as low as it gets.

Horrible....again. Please beg your real estate agent not to use this law firm. I've been forced to use this firm (and it's partner Prommis Solutions) numerous times for real estate closings. It holds a large part of the market captive in relation to REO/bank owned properties, Fannie Mae properties, foreclosures, etc. You really don't have a choice when buying these types of properties and, from their customer service, this law firm knows you don't have a choice. If you can get a response it is overwhelmingly rude. I have routinely been kept waiting anywhere from 30 mins to an hour in their lobby for a closing and none of my closings have funded on time. Their fees are exorbitant. And I'm currently waiting on checks from a purchase that closed 6 days ago.
