My favorite barbecue spot in the city, hands down. My favorite items here are their beef brisket and smoked wings

This place is known for it's delicious heart attack on a plate BBQ and sides, but my favorite is the banana pudding for dessert!

While the Beef Ribs are exceptional and the best in town, don't forget to get the amazing apps. The Lopez: tater tots smothered in brisket chili and gooey cheese.

Fantastic BBQ. The overflowing parking lot should tell you a lot. There is rarely a place to park during the weekday evenings and the weekends are impossible. Fox Bros has blown up since it first opened. Come try some of the best BBQ in the South.

A Real Bar B Que Joint & Fun Atmosphere. My family was having a bar-b-que attack and the family grill master was unable to heat up the grill Sunday so we decided to look for a bar-b-que restaurant close to Decatur. We found Fox Bros. on Citysearch and decided we would give it a try. My daughter had passed it several times and said it was always crowded so we thought it was worth the visit. When we arrived, it had just stopped raining so the outside patio was empty and the joint inside was jumping and crowded. We were told we could wait for a seat which we decided not to do and the table and chairs were immediately dried off for us to sit. We sat down for, what we soon discovered, was to be some of the best bar-b-que we have had in a long time. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer; they came out quickly and were very good and hot. The grill master ordered a pitcher of beer and that's when the eating began. My husband, aka grill master, ordered the bc plate with collards, mac & cheese and guess what, he fell in love. He said the bar-b-que was delicious, he even liked the sauce, he usually likes the vinegary sauce. There was so much food on his plate he had to take home a to go box. My daughter had the smoked chicken wings (no pork) & baked beans, I , on the other hand, had the 1/2 baby back ribs with cole slaw & baked beans. Let me tell you the baked beans were the best but I have to say all the food was great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone that really enjoys bar-b-q, cooked on a grill with hickory chips(the grill master informed me that was the only way to cook ribs). The atmosphere was fun with blues playing in the background (Sirius Radio). We are going back next weekend and taking my brother this time, aka best bar-b-q chicken grillmaster. Thanks guys, it was fun and delicious & Calloway, our server was pleasant & courteous as well.

Top notch !!!. My wife, my 9 month old daughter and I went to this establishment on a Saturday night. When we walked in, we were greeted by 2 hostess' and they were very charming (and good looking). We were promptly seated and our server "L" (good looking also) came over, greeted us with a smile and started taking our order. All I can say is, the people working here were fantastic. The service was excellent, as the manager (I'm assuming the manager) came by our table several times during the course of our meal as did our server to make sure things were good. The food was excellent.....Texas fries are to die for. We ordered the Everything Plate, in order to share it. Wow....chicken, ribs, pork and beef brisket were perfect.....taste wise and temperature wise. The Brunswick stew was good.....just right.....even my daughter enjoyed it. The sauce on the table was excellent.....vinegar based with a kick. The atmosphere is Little 5 Points, which we like and we will be back in the future. Next time we have friends in town, we are definitely taking them to this place. You guys rock !!!!!

Not crazy about the que here, good atmosphere. Hubby and I went the other night because a friend raved about the place. The husband is a barbecue fanatic, so we were excited about trying it. We were very excited to see the smoker in the parking lot, and the atmosphere is awesome, and we want to go back for drinks with friends. The food, however, was a huge let down! I had smoked chicken, mac and cheese and o rings, hubby had ribs (he ordered baby backs, but got regular ribs instead), o rings, beans and slaw. The chicken was waaaaaay overcooked and dry, the mac and cheese was really shell pasta and white sauce with no hint of cheese whatsoever, and the onion rings were cold and greasy. The sauce was unmentionable (I know, it's supposed to be all about the meat, but my meat was DRY and needed something). His ribs were just okay, according to him. We both liked his beans, and the coleslaw was just okay. IF we go back, we'll just have beers and maybe wings. I hate to sound so negative, as they maybe had an "off" night that night, and we did like the atmosphere, but steer away from the food that I mentioned.

Great barbecue, Good Service, Well Priced. Even though it's been open for quite a few weeks now, I just had a chance to try Fox Bros. last night. I live in Kirwood so it's only about 5 minutes from my house and now I'm mad at myself for waiting so long. I went with 7 people ranging in age from 5 years old to 60 years old, and everyone had a good time.

The BBQ pork and brisket I tried and loved, those who had the ribs and/or wings also raved. The sides were big and tasty, especially the Brunswick stew, mac and cheese and baked beans. The cole slaw was not good as it is too watery and not flavorful.

Prices were $10 and under for plates and sandwiches - very reasonable. Only 3 beers on tap, though they are 420, Stella and one other IPA I can't remember.

Great Ideas, Friendly Service but do not order chopped brisket!. First of all we tried the Texas fries. The fries are topped with cheese, jalepeno's chopped, and brisket.

The brisket had so much fat on it we ended up with a small salad plate of fat on it. Don't worry about the jalepenos. They are not hot. This would be great if the brisket did not have so much fat. Some chunks of all fat were under that cheese too.

I tried the chopped brisket sandwich. I had ordered the fries and the sandwich at the same time. Once again I had some fatty meat in my dish though not nearly as much as were on my Texas fries.

The brisket is tasty but I would only order it slices on a plate.

Service is very friendly!

May go try some pork or get sliced brisket next time.

Fox Brothers disappointing. I have been searching for some good bbq all summer and was excited to see a place on my way to work. I have waited patiently for them to open but I was very disappointed. I went on 10/8 after work and ordered to go: rib sandwiches and the smoked chicken salad. The ribs were DRY and cold...I knew this before I left the parking lot..very disappointing, I didn't see the grill smoking (this lends some authenticity to bbq to me) Seemed like they were prepared the day before. The baked beans were good. As far as the smoked chicken salad goes, the meat had a good smoky flavor and was moist...but the presentation was all wrong..a few tomatoes in the corner and a few red onions in the opposite..It was basically all lettuce. Not going back. I will just stick to the parking lot bbq places more effort goes into the food and not the building......Very overated

Next Time, I'm Trying The Wings. The best thing I had on my combo plate was the chicken -- it was moist, juicy and great with sauce. The ribs and brisket would have been good too if they hadn't come out cold/lukewarm. I would have sent them back, but our waitress was slower than molasses (she's probably why the food came out cold). Of all the sides we ordered, the overly-mustardy potato salad was the only one we didn't like. The mac-and-cheese and beans were great. I recently read they have some of the city's best wings and that's what I'm going to get next time. If management happens to read this, please do something about the insects out on the patio -- they're out of control! Perhaps some citronella on the tables will help???

Tender delicious meat, worst sides ever. I went to Fox Brother's on a fairly busy Wednesday night. The service was fine and you would expect it to be, as there were at least 6 servers and 2 managers on the floor. I ordered the brunswick stew as a starter and it was decent, but not outstanding. My date and I ordered the pork, which was smoky and extremely tender. The problem came with the sides. While the servings were generous, out of the three we tried (baked beans, potato salad & cole slaw) all were doused in paprika, which failed to mask the fact that none were homemade or anything near flavorful. The BBQ sauce was in the sweet Kansas city style, and that's all it was, sweet. I asked for an alternative, smoky or spicy would have surficed, but there was no alternative to the sad sugary goob. All in all, I don't think we'll return, at least as long as Daddy Dz is right around the corner.
