Simon's has really lost it's flavor

Last year Simon's was my favorite restaurant. I had not been in a while, so last night I decided to go there with a couple of friends. We ordered a bottle of reisling for 20.00 bucks(i can get this bottle for $9.99 at any Towers package store) and ordered what was at one time my favorite dish, the crab and corn chowder and the stuffed shrimp(the stuffing was suppose to be crab stuffing). Our meal arrived and boy were we dissappointed. There was no crab in the chowder, just corn and heavy corn starch. the stuff shrimp was stuff with bread stuffing only. we sent both dishes back with a complaint. The waitress did admit that the restaurant was under new management and he was very cheap,and he cuts corners on the ingrediants. credit was given on the corn chowder, but not the 2 orders of stuffed shrimp. I wont go back. I project that Simon's may be closed by year end, if things don't change.
- Pros: good and friendly service
- Cons: no crab in the corn and crab chowder nor in the crab stuffin
Exactly what the reviews say - EXCELLENT!

My boyfriend and I were visiting Atlanta, GA for a mere two days at the end of September 2008, before heading to Hilton Head, SC. We were in the mood for steak and seafood, but did not want to venture back into downtown Atlanta. We were staying at the Westin Airport. Thanks to the "reviews", we chose Simon's. It was exactly as everyone had previously stated. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted with a warm smile and a magnificent display of desserts. Our server was Byron, a St. Louis transplant. Much to his dismay, I enlightened him on the reviews of the restaurant as well as his kindness to others. We dined on Oysters Rockefeller as well as the Rib-eye, finished with the Pecan/Cheesecake Pie. I strongly recommend this fine establishment to anyone looking for a relaxing evening and a great meal.
* BYRON, YOU'RE THE REASON WE ATE AT SIMON'S. YOU'RE A GEM! *
