Great Vietnamese Food

This was the first time I had ever went to a Vietnamese restaurant and it was a delight. My boyfriend and I ordered the spring rolls for starters and they were delicious. The dipping sauce, which is similar to Mea Ploy, Thai Sweet Chili, goes well with the crispiness and warmth of the rolls. My boyfriend said they were the best he has ever had, and he doesn't like any seafood (they had a mixture of noodles, beef, and shrimp). We also had the filet mignon and fried rice, and the vermicelli with pork. Both dishes had an infusion of many different flavors. I especially enjoyed the filet which had notes of wine, vinegar, and was great with the lime/salt/pepper dip they give you. The rice and noodles could have had a little more flavor, but there are many condiments you can add yourself provided on the table. This place is wonderful for the price (we had a ton of food and our tab was less than $20), and great for anyone who loves Asian food, or has not tried Vietnamese cuisine before. I will definitely return and try the other menu items! The restaurant itself is also very quaint, quiet, and romantic. A great place to meet friends, hang out with family, or go on a quiet date.

Mouth watering food, bring your own wine, you won't believe the prices.

We were taken there by another couple that had discovered the place and wanted to see if it was true that you can bring your own wine and have it served at your table. Well, it is true. Tucked away in a shopping center on Buford highway, one would never imagine it.

We stopped at a wine retail store before going into the restaurant and picked up 2 bottles of a very nice cabernet sauvignon. When we got there we were greeted by one of the 3 servers - place is small, 12 tables max- and taken to our table. We placed the bottle on the table and looked at the server waiting for a reaction. He looked at the bottle's label, said "nice " and asked how many glasses we needed poured.

We ordered the Bo Ne for one and it was enough for 2 ($15). Not overpowered with sauces, as a matter of fact I don't remember it having a sauce, but it tasted delicious. Our friends also ordered another meat dish and a grill was brought to our table along with rice, noodles and other condiments. The meat on the side, you cook it yourself. Excellent for conversation and sharing. The meat is mouth watering and tender. If you go there you must try the egg rolls and spring rolls. Very crisp and filling.

The flames on the table set the mood , and for the rest of the evening we felt that we were transported to a nook someplace in Asia. Very unpretentious, quick -nice service, beautiful decor and not at all crowded- almost empty for a Saturday night. No cork fee for drinking your own wine. Most dishes are between $6- $15. They also had Thai for sharing for $25-$45 on the menu. Quite unexpected. This is the kind of place that you can sit there, talk to your friends for hours and not feel that you need to empty the table for someone else. The server was very polite and left us alone even long after we had finished our meal. He would just stop by to pour more wine or water. I can?t wait to go back !
