never again!. I have been a Briarcliff customer for 20 years. In that time I was satisfied with their service. However, my dog got sick in early Februaryl...I was very worried. From the moment I stepped in to the Braiarcliff/Emory area office I was treated with little customer service. The staff was new and impersonal. I felt like they were contantly trying to upsell me on different tests and X-rays, II felt like an illegal alien trying to get help at Grady Hospital!

I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!

I even called Briarcliffmanagement to let them know what happened. Instead of apoloizing the asst. Manager defended the staff....

I have since gne to a different vet. The new vet was actually concerned about my dog! I was treated well and my dog is on the mend!

Highly Recommend. Dr. Hedge is the best vet I've ever known. She is caring, friendly, knowledgeable, and practical. She is very down-to-Earth and honest -- not one of those who is out to get your money.

We had problems housebreaking our lab puppy because we lived on the 7th floor of a high-rise. Dr. Hedge craftily suggested using sod on our patio (which we replaced on a weekly basis). WHAT A GREAT IDEA! It was the panacea we were in search of.

GREAT VET, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...

i love briarcliff!. i love briarcliff! i've been taking my cats here for 10 years, and even got 2 of them from their adoption program. i have 2 that get very nervous when they go in to any vet, and so they get pretty mean. but the staff here is always great at handling them! dr. muller, dr. hedge, dr. joseph, and dr. edelstein are fantastic! it is expensive, but it's comparable to other clinics in the area. they always weigh the options with me, and we decide together what's best for our family. the staff are all friendly too! terry at the front desk, dwight on phones, nafis and richie in the clinic, have all been great to work with. i'm so happy we can call them our vet!

The doctors are great!. We were so glad that Briarcliff provides laparoscopic surgeries! The doctors are great, and they communicate very well. Right after my pet's surgery, I got a phone call from the doctor with an update on him (which I really liked!). The front desk staff is cheerful and friendly, and the clinic staff is as well. Highly recommend!

they love it. Best vet in Atlanta. Great staff, don't nickle and dime you over prescriptions and services which aren't needed.

Over the 17 years my dog was alive I have been to pretty much every vet in Atlanta to find the best one. I have been to Buckhead Animal Clinic, Ansley Animal Clinic, Pets Are People Too (Emergencies only as they're open 24hrs a day.) The standard of care at Briarcliff is heads and shoulders above the rest. I've referred friends to Briarcliff and they love it too.

Great Vet. This review concerns the College Park BAC. It was a first visit for me, I went on the recommendation of my neighbor who spoke very highly of the practice. I am new to Atlanta and wasn't looking forward to a new vet, since my vet in Dallas was really one of a kind. Dr. Cleland and the staff were really wonderful. My pet is a senior, and needed anesthesia so I was concerned. Dr. Cleland called me earlier than expected to tell me she was doing great- no waiting on the vet to call! When I went into to pick her up, the staff was already familiar with my pet and very helpful. Despite a pretty crappy day for a spoiled little dog, she was in good spirits when I picked her up. My first experience was great and indicates I've found a new vet and can stop flying back to Dallas!

Impressed. Been taking my dog and cats here for the last year and a half. Never had an issue, and the staff from front desk to Veterinarians have always been super friendly. Walking in today to pick up some dog food, I was even greeted by name, and the front desk remembered my pet. We are typically only there for routine check-ups too! I was impressed. We see Dr. Hedge and she is amazing! Hours are great, and easy to get an appointment too.

Definitely going back here. I just went to the new College Park location (they said it's been there since Sept. 2009) and was very pleasantly surprised by how nice the whole experience was. I called last minute to get an annual checkup and vaccinations and they were able to get me in right then.  They take both walk-ins and appointments, I really like that because there are times when I want each. Everyone was incredibly polite and professional.  The office is clean and a lot nicer than most other vets I've visited.  They said it used to be a chiropractic practice prior to becoming a vet's office- maybe that's why it's a bit nicer.  The doctor we saw (Dr. Daniel Cleland) was the most refreshing part of the experience.  We've gotten used to very non-compassionate vets who don't explain anything and go through the motions while we sit there feeling lost and not in charge.  But Dr. Cleland was very friendly, honest and accommodating and not at all intimidating or condescending.  He and the nurse who drew my dogs' blood were efficient but still very kind to my girls.  They answered questions and treated me as an equal.  He explained that opinions are changing regarding vaccinations (aka, too many vets are over-vaccinating) and they are moving towards less-frequent shots that last longer.  So next year, instead of getting all of their shots again, they'll only need a couple boosters.  And they do the 3-year rabies shot which I like. We have tried so many vets in Atlanta for the past few years and kept going to new places because we never found a place we really had a desire to return to.  I am definitely going to be going back here and am so glad with how comfortable I felt with everything. Also, when I asked if they're open Saturdays, they told me that not only are they open for the full day on Saturday, but they're even open part of the day on Sunday.  So I don't need to take time off from work to bring my dogs in, plus this office is so close to where I live downtown rather than out in Buckhead or Morningside or Decatur. Oh, also, for prices-  I compared the costs of the vaccinations to the records I have from 2 previous vets and all except the fecal sample were equal to or lower than the other vets.  Not sure why but the fecal sample was about $10  more than the two I compared it to.  But the others were about $3, $7 and $8 less per shot/fee.  And there were no added BS fees like "biohazard disposal fee" or "document recording fee".  They charged me for the shots and exam, and that's it. I thought their exam fee wasn't outrageous.  ($45 for the first pet, $35 for a sibling pet.  Ansley is $53 for comparison) Vets are just not cheap, and I always think it's expensive, so I appreciate that this visit was more reasonable than some others.  The couple dollars I saved on each item added up enough to make a difference in my total bill. I also saw on their website that for first time patients you can get your exam fee waived- I'm bummed I didn't see that before I went, but that's what I get for being so last-minute!

Can't thank them enough. I have used BAC since the late 80's. My animals are my children and I will not trust them to anyone else. The doctors are the most compassionate people I've ever met. They work with you on what you can afford. They have saved my animals on numerous occasions and saved me thousands of dollars over the years. I can't thank the team of doctors enough for the years of service they've given me.

They always go above and beyond. I've been taking my pups here for 10 years, and the people at Briarcliff have really helped me through some of the most stressful and trying of times with my furry family members. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and always very helpful, especially during the times that it seemed like I was living a nightmare, they always go above and beyond to comfort me, and accommodate my pets needs. They are literally life savers!
