I found a great African American nail specialist!!! (behind the Applebees on Cacade Rd.). I have been living in Atlanta for two yeas and am a person whos apperance means alot personally and professionally. Just like my girlfriends I love to get my nails done. But, most of the places I've tried have me leaving smelling like chemicals and unsatisfied with the poor non-english speaking customer service. My husband bought me a gift certificate to D'Lor Salon and Spa for a manicure and pedicure. This thing had the works! The lady gave me a warm neck pillow and hot green tea as I set my feet in what seemed to be the cleanest stainless steel tub. She asked me what I wanted and understud my requests. The service was devine, she used some fresh oranges and some type of sugar scrub that made my feet squeek, hunny. I strongly recommend you give this place a try. If your like me, you've tried everywhere else.

They will keep you waiting..... I love Too Groovy Salon & Spa off of Ponce De Leon! I love Natural Body & Spa, Ivy Walk @ Vinings! So, when this spa opened up in my neighborhood I was ecstatic... I spa close to home?! How convenient! My initial visit had won me over with their pedicure. It was one of the best foot & calve massage I had ever received during a pedicure!! Well my second time around wasn't so great. I called on a Monday morning because I was working from home to see if they had availability. I informed them I would be on my lunch break but could stretch to more than an hour if the session needed it. My appointment was set for 1pm with Aneesia or Alecia (can't remember the exact name). I arrived at 12:50pm. My nail technician was still at lunch.... I waited until 1:30 with no success. The two receptionist kept calling her advising she had a client waiting but she was still a no show. They did apologize but did not offer any incentive for the inconvenience. Management /ownersdidn't even do a courtsey to aplogize or offer any complimentary services. I will continue to driver to Mid-town or to Vinings for the customer service & luxury service I have grown accustomed to. Needless to say, I advised all of my friends, coworkers & family of my experience & they have all "scratched" D'Lor off of their list. I attend the spa for pedicures, facials including micro dermabrasion & massges plus I purchase gift cards for all of my friends becacuse I love being pampered. They have lost a Spa Lover from right around the block!! I hope her lunch was delicious!!
