Spicy Jerked Chicken.
Okay readers, I LOVE FOOD!!
I have only had the Jerked Chicken so far, and I am quite satisfied. This is my new spot for Jamaican. This place does things right , don't be fooled by the appearance of the place. I have gone twice since my first visit. I have visited Jamaica and experienced their Authentic dishes like Curry, Jerked, and Escovitch fish). Jerked chicken is by far one of my favorite foods, when done right (Grilled). Upon my arrival at Scotch Bonnet for the first time, I was informed that the Chicken was on the grill and it would be another 25 minutes before it was finished. That was fine with me, seeing the smoke come from the grill made me even more excited! I prefer fresh food over anything. I ran an errand and returned. The service was polite and I was given a sample of the Oxtail's since it was my first visit. I give the Jerked an A. It's grilled on a pit the way I prefer mine. I can't wait to go back and sample other menu items. The owners suggest you call ahead before stopping in to make sure they have what you want. That shouldn't be much of a problem. The lunch special is $5, you can't beat that. There name "Scotch Bonnet" is not to be taken lightly. The spice was definitely prominent throughout the meal. Overall, the food was a good experience, it's a small place that may be overlooked because of it's appearance and location, the Jerked is spicy and full of flavor, and the service is friendly as well.
