Not bad. The food was ok, probably on the better side of the Mexican restaurants I've tried here in GA. I'm from the west coast and am Hispanic and know what Mexican food is. I wouldn't call this authentic but it was a decent meal. It was very crowded when we went on a Thursday night and I wouldn't say it would've been worth it to go on a busy weekend or wait for a long time to get a table. The search for good Mexican food continues *sigh*...

I dont think so. I've read the reviews and can't believe people would write that this is one of the best. People will choose atmosphere over food in Atlanta every time. This place has bland food, and doesn't compare at all to:

La Parilla

El Azteca

El Porton

La Paz

or any of the other chains.

Tell your friends about this one!. Excellent upscale mexican food! Relaxing, fun atmosphere - everyone has a good time here.

Entertainment in the bar is very good-

Best margaritas in town and try the shrimp

enchiladas- You will keep coming back!

Great Place!. My friends and I ate here on Saturday night. We absolutely had a ball! Our server Marco was awesome. Quick service, fresh, hot food & a friendly staff. The live music was defiantly a nice touch. We danced and enjoyed the music for the rest of the evening. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who just wants to relax and have fun.

Margarittas,Management, and food are 5 star! Great!. My husband and I went today for lunch. I had lunch #5 Cinco and it was not only delicious,but fast and afforadable too @$5.95 and enought left to take home. I also had a Texas Margaritta and it was the best!!! Too bad I had to go back to work. Great place to go for a great lunch and nice decor. and staff as well. Tt was a little crowded but we got seats at the bar and were waited on quickly, served fresh and hot food to order, and able to get back to work on time. I will return for dinner sometime soon. Great Mexican resturant nearby and no problems. Thanks! A+++++

It just ROCKS.. A friend and I meet once every couple of months for dinner, and on one of "her choice" nights she suggested Tarahumata. THANK YOU LISA!!! I *loved* it. So much so that I went back the next night for dinner with my fiance...and a week later again with my family (straight from the airport from a 12 hour flight back from Europe!). We all love it. The ambience is great, the service impeccable, and the food succulent. I can't stop ordering the smoked salmon-stuffed, bacon wrapped shrimp. My fiance loves the dish in the lava rock with cactus, steak, and cheese. The margaritas (especially pomegranate) rock. As does the guacamole. I just can't say enough about the place. Sorry for the reviewer who had the bad experience - I personally can't picture it!

fantastic advertisement!! just that!. american palate is very complex and spoiled,people confuse their tastes with supreme truth!! if you go to a mexican place,,,,,please do not complaint about jalapenos being so HOT!!! or mild...or wathever...so far i been @ every single mexican restaurant in town.....is same B>S> never will be homemade ...not even with all chefs network behind it...face it......food can not be a freakin` mass production shite!!! happy holydays.

Not your usual burrito - differnet and simply the best - Dinks, Food & Ambiance. I eat here 3 - 8 times a month. Business or friends it's great. They do a great job on all of your typical favorites plus lots of great special offerings like poblano soup, the best lobster bisque anywhere (often a special), salmon stuffed prawns wrapped in bacon, a grilled cactus and steak served on a super hot lava rock and even killer tapas menu (be sure to ask for it).

The atmosphere inside is very enjoyable and the terrace is always nicely shaded from late afternoon on. Drinks are great and service ranges from good to exceptional (ask for Marco).

Everything is fresh and tasty. I saw one bad review here and all I can say is either the guy is a competitor who is lying or his idea of Mexican is Taco Bell

Try it, I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do. I was hesitant to tell everyone about it as it gets crowded sometimes as its really that good but I had to set record straight for a place I enjoy so much.

Best upscale mexican food in Alpharetta. I love it!! Great ambiance, nice decor and delicious food.

No the same dishes you find every where else.

Staff was very helpful.

best mexican food in town. I had my company's Christmas party (50 employees) at Tarahumata and I must say that this has been the best party ever. I have been with my company for 5 years and this has been the best choice they have ever made. All The food arrived at the same time, it was hot and came directly to the person who ordered it (without someone yelling what the dish was in order for someone else to claim it). The servers did not miss any detail to make everybody's experince a great one. I highly recommed Tarahumata for lunch or dinner. Their food and service are outsanding not to mention their 150+- exotic tequilas and a mix drinks. Their patio with a fire pit and fountain is so romantic an the bar is also a great place to hang out after work.
