Editorial Review for Luckie Food Lounge – by Joel Lindsey
In Short
This downtown spot next to the Georgia Aquarium is a new favorite of the suave urban crowd. Neon blue bathes everything from the cool saltwater aquariums at the entrance to the sushi bar to the big rectangular bar in the middle of the room. Tiered seating and VIP booths in the open flowing space allow guests to be seen as they sip their Crown Royal.

Insider Tips
Look GoodIt's worth the effort to figure out the cool futuristic faucets in the restroom. Go even if you don't have to.
Know Before You GoYou'll have to drop $5 on the valet.
The ExtrasWhile it's become a popular nightspot, the Luckie also does a brisk lunch business. "Charm" is the name of the area with to-go options. It's a good place to stop in while sightseeing downtown.

I'll start positively by saying that the place was nice looking inside. Everything else goes down hill from there. $12 long islands (small) freaked me out. I didn't want to know the price of any other drinks, but just hangin around the bar and seeing others reaction to their drink prices was pretty funny. I also heard that the valet was $20 bucks. Nah...won't be going back without drinkin first, if I go back at all

This is the first time I feel compelled to write a review just as I got home. We went to this place with a 16 people party and had a really bad experience. The waitress didn't seem to know what she was doing and took forever to get our drinks since "THE RAN OUT OF GLASSWARE!" they said there were a couple of big parties and used all the glasses... we thought it was a joke at first but after ordering water 5 times we kept getting the same excuse. Afterwards, the food came some plates were cold, 2 arrived when everyone else had finished; we also brought our own birthday cake and were told we were going to be charged $3 per person for a cutting fee since we were using their spoons and plates... Unbelievable!!! We finally spoke to the manager and she waived the cake cutting fee.. they didn't cut anyway and didn't even bring a proper knife for us to do so. At least, some of the food was good and the decor and inside is really nice. The place looks like a million bucks but treats the customers like it's charity. After a really not deserved $98 tip, we felt completely robbed and the experience in general was not good at all. The bottom line is: Luckie Food Lounge is a pretty building to look at but save your money, the food is overpriced and the service is beyond awful; do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.
Pros: Nice decor
Cons: Service, price
