What People Are Saying About TAP

In Short – Suspended kegs float above your head in a glass vault, underscoring the slogan "a convivial place to have a pint" and the raucous evening atmosphere at this sleek, three-story pub. Lunches are less frenetic and popular with professionals from the surrounding office towers. The bar tends to get backed up, but the young servers hustle with a smile. Seating is comfortable, but like the bar, the food service is surprisingly slow. Creative Southern munchies like fried pickles, deviled eggs and Georgia boiled peanuts pair well with $2 shorties of draught like the smooth…

Bad service

We went to have a lunch there on Sunday, Aug. 23. The place did not appear to be terribly busy and they had tables available in the patio area. With no hostess in sight we decided to seat ourselves. After about 5 minutes the hostess came, she asked us to leave the table and wait at the bar area. We waited for another 5-10 minutes and were shown to the table with no umbrella, in the full blazing sun. She made no apologies or asked if we liked the table, she just left. Few minutes in the hot sun, and we left this place. Can’t tell if the food is good. We are not going back, I hate to be treated like a nuisance. There are many great places to eat in Atlanta, this is not one of them.
- Pros: great location
- Cons: service is terrible
Bar Food
by DennisnAtlanta at Citysearch
The patio is the best feature of this bar (it?s a stretch to say it is a serious restaurant). The food is very mediocre. It's a place to go grab a beer after work, before going out clubbing, or just hanging out with friends. The music is usually loud inside and the multi level set up is disconcerting and makes the place feel small and cramped. It's a young crowd (under 35) and mostly straight but gay friendly. It's in midtown so it is attracts a more open minded crowd than a suburban bar/beer house.
- Pros: Patio
- Cons: Food
Bad Service...Much Better Choices In Atlanta
by pamulli at Citysearch
We went there on a Sunday evening and it wasn't all that crowded, yet the service was pretty bad. They were out of several things that we ordered, they brought one entree before the appetizers and we had to send it back and the server seemed annoyed. We had our appetizers and then 3 of the entrees arrived, but the 4th never showed (not the same one we sent back). We asked twice and were told it was on it's way, which we took for Oops we forgot. After about 15 minutes the final entree arrived. The food was OK, but there are so many better options in Atlanta. Lots of local pubs and bars have better beer and better service. I expected a lot more from a Concentrics Restaurant. I don't plan on going back.
- Pros: Nice Atmosphere
- Cons: Service, Beer Selection and Prices
