This is a good place to get a GREAT
laugh! I'm not a big fan for getting lost down town, but I have enjoyed finding my way to this club to laugh til I cried.
If you're looking for a great laugh, you NEED to be in the house!
Don DC Curry was too funny! This place was packed full! Make sure you go early to get a seat..all the seats were good and you can see the stage from any table.
Uptown Comedy Club hailed to be one of the best comedy clubs in the South. I have been to Uptown twice.
Friday nights - packed, non-stop laughs. I haven't been to them all but so far, this is the best comedy club in Atlanta.
Great place. The atmosphere is very relaxed, the staff is very friendly & helpful & polite. Their waitresses are beautiful ! And the comedians (especially the host) are very funny and entertaining. The menu though is very limited & average. And a night there ends up being a bit pricey since in addition to admission there is a 2 item minimum per person . But overall it's a great night out
The Best Comedy Club in The City!
I have been known to cry and nearly pee on myself at this place.
All the big name black comics have been here. Uptown is like a therapy for me. When I'm down in the dumps I come here and always leave feeling 10x better.
My first time to in a comedy club, it was really crowded but for a first time experience I had a lot of fun! My stomach hurt so bad from laughing! Esau Mcgraw was the headliner and he was hilarious! drinks and service was good. I will Definitely return!
Worst comedy show! Parking 10 bucks for some other businesses' parking. The lil man t hollers at the customers while we're lined up for some time. Hates n----s, but love black people. Who ever have their name behind this mess, should be asham. No such thing as free tickets. We had to pay even with our free tickets. Oh in the hood. VIP??????? Really. Shut it down. Terrible!
First time at Uptown Comedy Corner. My husband and I went to UCC for the first time on a Wednesday night. We received free ticketes from FSO. The ticket says to arrive 30 min prior to the show starting. We arrived about 15 min prior and we were still able to find good parking right behind the valet lot. There was a line, but it moved pretty fast and we were told to pick a seat in the VIP area. There were plenty of tables to pick from. The host Lavar Walker and the main act Red Grant were hillarious. I laughed more than I expected to. The only thing I didn't like was that they want you to buy 2 things from the menu. I would've been okay with that had I known before hand, but there was nothing menitoned about it on my ticket. I really thought I was getting free tickets and that I had an option to buy food/drinks if I wanted. I do realize though that they have to make their money somehow so I wasn't too upset about it. Next time I go though I will be prepared for that. Overall, I had so much fun that I wasn't even worried about having to buy food. I will go back when I get some more "free tickets"
