“really didn't feel the "cozy and great" atmosphere and no one claiming to be the owner rushed out to greet me.”
“a full fledged bar.”
“Its a great example of what happens when over pretentious, rich, yuppies move into an authentic neighborhood full of real authentic local businesses.”
“The pretentious attitude, the terrible customer service, the expensive prices, and the terrible cigar selection make this one of the worst cigar stores, if not the worst, in Atlanta.”
“It looked like a great place to relax and smoke, with great reviews as well.”
“Very courteous gentlemen and ladies, attentive staff, and comfy furniture just to name a few.”

“like the place a lot BUT if there is ANY type of event going on; you can forget good customer service, in fact I have come in the door, went up to the bar and have waited for at least 10 minutes before getting an order of any kind placed.”
I liked it a lot. I will be a regular customer there. I do not know of a nicer place to have a cigar and a drink in Atlanta. The staff and the other customers were very nice. I tried a scotch I had never tried before because they had so many. I think this is a great place.
MightyMighty.
Ok Here's the real deal.
We all know that every cigar shop in the city charges way too much for their sticks; Highland is no different.
However, because of the atmosphere and full menu of the best single malt scotch's available, I can't rave enough about this place.
See the key is to get your stogies online at a severe discount (they dont mind you bringing your own) and come in and enjoy the great conversation and other amenities they have.
I rate this gem 98 out 100.
Very nice place. If you like cigars, you will like this place. It's as simple as that. If you like a good scotch, you will LOVE this place! If you like both then you have found your new favorite place to hangout. Highly recommended.
Great place however.... I like the place a lot BUT if there is ANY type of event going on; you can forget good customer service, in fact I have come in the door, went up to the bar and have waited for at least 10 minutes before getting an order of any kind placed. And don't even think you will get a greeting what so ever if an event is going on, because they are milking the capricious customers at that moment; that they feel will tip them well, instead of their regulars!
Luxury Lives. I love a good cigar every once in a while and from now on this is my place for relaxing and having my smoke. The cigar selection is far better than any other place with a bar, and the bar selection is incredible. What more could I want? Oh yes, a plush sofa on which to relax - that was there too. I am now spoiled.
Cigars and scotch: Inman Park's bar built for guys..
In Short
This Inman Park cigar bar and shop lodged one level above the Inman Park portion of N. Highland Avenue will please the stogie-obsessed. Brown leather couches and flat screen TVs sit across from a large bar boasting over 50 labels of Scotch. Warm amber lighting and deep brown woods give the place a subdued and calming feel without making it feel like a mortuary when you light up that smoke you nabbed from their walk-in humidor. Most puff-sticks start between $7-$15 and move up from there. If you need to hide the habit, or lack a humidor at home, they also offer lease-able humidor lockers to lodge your booze and smoke away from your living quarters.
Great place!. I walked in to pick up a stogie and ended up spending my entire afternoon there! Why don't all cigar shops have bars inside? I sank into a sofa and felt like king of the world. Lauren and Claudia took great care of me! Thanks ladies. Keep up the great work!
Very classy. We stumbled on this place not really knowing what to expect and found it to be a great bar with a nice cigar selection. We had no idea it was a full bar so we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very helpful and treated us like kings! This will be one of our favorite hangouts for sure.
Below average. My experiences at Highland Cigar were not so great as everyone is saying. Since my regular cigar store closed last year, I have sort of been homeless and been trying to find a new cigar store to hang out at. I found their cigar selection to be pretty awful, slightly expensive too. I am not much of a drinker so I cant say much there. I really didn't feel the "cozy and great" atmosphere and no one claiming to be the owner rushed out to greet me. I sort of got the feeling that the waitress was trying to usher us out. There is no way so many people are giving them 5 stars. I really have to believe they are having their employees or insiders write themselves reviews. How come every good review talks about the owner by name and says how great he is? Something is up there. There is nothing really spectacular about this place. If you really want to go to a cigar store, go to Cigar World (the old Georgia Cigar) in Buckhead or Tobacco World in Marietta where they actually have a huge selection of cigars.
Great, relaxing cigar bar....one of the best!.
I was in town on business and found out about Highland Cigar online. It looked like a great place to relax and smoke, with great reviews as well. I had emailed Brian (the owner) about the bar and when I came into the Highland Cigar, I was immediately greeted by him. I knew I was in for a nice time. Brian introduced me to some of the regulars as well as the manager, who was a knockout! I was able to bring my own cigar from the outside, though they had a small, but very nice selection (no sissy cigars) in the walk-in humidor.
I don't think you negative reviewers gave Highland Cigar a fair shot. I can't wait to visit Atlanta again.
