I'm not sure there is enough room to accurately describe my visit to this restaurant. I will start with what I want a reader to know first - never EVER visit this restaurant! We arrived at opening - noon. I ordered the basil rolls for my appetizer - 5 minutes later I was informed by the very sweet waitress that the appetizer chef had not arrived for his shift and would I like something else. I told her I'd wait a few more minutes for him to arrive and if he didn't I would switch to an alternative - stuff happens, no big deal, right? Wrong. Less then a minute later a greasy, obviously unbathed appetizer chef came through the door. Hard night last night? We've all had them, no biggie, right? Wrong. The waitress, now obviously embarrassed came to me to inform me that the appetizer chef DIDN'T FEEL LIKE MAKING BASIL ROLLS AND WAS THEREFORE REFUSING! She even tried to convinced him to show her how it was done, and again he REFUSED! I have never been so shocked in my life! I have to say I was less shocked (how could I not be) when one of our entrees arrived with a big giant wavy black hair on it. We showed the very sweet waitress and without a hint of embarrassment or shame she proceeded to inform us that she thought she had "put enough gel in her hair" that day to keep that from happening, giving us the impression that it was not the first time and she was working to overcome this hazard of having her as a waitress. Whilst I will say that their ingredients appear to be fresh and of high quality, and the concept is great, you could not pay me to eat in that "restaurant" again.
Pros: The food (without hair) seemed to be fresh and of high quality
Cons: Everything else...I mean everything, down to the stinky bathroom.

I just had lunch at Amaryn's and was amazed that I spend $23 for take out. My order was a spider roll, miso soup and a seaweed salad. The miso was the worst I have ever had, I could not even finish it. It tasted like bland dirty hot water. The spider roll was o'kay, but did not even have the tempura claws. I expected a lot more for $23.
