Editorial Review for Home – by Citysearch Editors
When Seeger's closed, Atlantans mourned the loss of a great chef. But the mood was more uncertain when restaurateur and former chef Tom Catherall announced he would be moving into the much-lauded Buckhead address. The interior hasn't changed much, although art and music are now permitted. The food is less esoteri, more accessible and trendy-farm-fresh. Chef Richard Blais was a total stud in 2008's Top Chef, propelling the restaurant into buzzed-status while foie gras milkshakes and vertically-cut fried green tomatoes put charismatic spins on old southern staples. It's not Seeger's, but it's not Strip either.

Know Before You GoIf you're thinking of dining at Home (formally named Posh), call ahead and ask about the night's menu. It changes regularly and the website doesn't always have the most up-to-date version.
The ExtrasHome also serves a snazzy Sunday brunch. Entrees range from $12 to $17. Highlights include brioche French toast and chilled lobster soup.

This was my second time visiting Home and the food was just as delicious as it was the first time. My first visit was for work and I went back a second time with my husband. I made a reservation specifically for the wine cellar downstairs which has enough room for only two people. Super romantic! I reserved the cellar and our early dinner time over a month ago and arrived at Home on Friday to be sat upstairs among the public. I was told the table was filled. Annoyed! After the delish fois gras appetizer I excused myself for the restroom to see WHO was sitting at my table in the cellar. IT WAS EMPTY! Officially ticked off. Thankfully our service was great and so was the meal but I was uber annoyed that I was denied the table I requested over a month ago. Good thing I got a picture with Richard Blais to kind of smooth my disappointment over. SO, go for the food (it's awesome) just don't expect to get a special table even if you reserved it. Yes, I'm bitter :)
Pros: Richard Blais, Turley wine, great food
Cons: not being sat in the cellar, a little snooty

Home is not like home. I liked the menu though. I started with foie gras which by the way did not come with bread or anything to put it on until we asked which they brought a biscuit which fell apart in your fingers. The crabcake app was excellent though. I then had a strip steak? with creamed corn and that was good but not worth the price tag. Home is okay but nothing to crow about. Service was slow slow slow.
Pros: Menu
Cons: Slow disjointed service for food and drinks
