Worst Service Ever. The worst dining experience we’ve ever had. We went in just before 7pm with a 4 year old. As we were being seated, we let them know our little one was hungry, and we needed to order promptly. The waitress came and asked us what we’d like to drink, and we told her we were ready to order. She huffed, as if it were a problem. My wife ordered a burger with everything on it except mustard. When it came, there was no tomato or onion. When we asked the waitress about it, she said “Oh, that’s extra. Do you want it?” We couldn’t believe that we paid $11.50 for a burger and were charged extra for tomato and onion. She was incredibly short with us during our entire meal. When we finished our entrée, she asked if we needed anything else. We had to ask her if they served dessert. She begrudgingly rattled off a few items. On our check we left note that the waitress was unfriendly and if we hadn’t been so hungry, we’d have gone elsewhere. As we were getting in our car, the waitress came chasing after us, yelling that she was not unfriendly with us and to “never come back to our restaurant again.” We called back to speak with a manager or owner, and the waitress answered the phone, was further rude with us and then told us she was one of the owners.

A Hidden Gem in Roswell. This might be one of my favorite out of the city restaurants. It is a hidden gem in Roswell, GA that provides some of the most incredible comfort food. To start off, homemade tomato soup that is oh so savory with some warm bread. My personal favorite is the macaroni and cheese with chicken and bacon. The macaroni is cooked slowly in a homemade cheese sauce and then combined with chicken and little bits of bacon. Then it is placed under the over with some bread crumbs so it comes out bubbling hot. Oh and make sure you remember to order your dessert with your appetizer... because the bananas foster takes 30 minutes to prepare and is DEFINITELY worth it! Wow, so good!

Great casual high end. The food was great. I can't say enough. I'm so often disappointed or..underwhelmed. I hate spending money on food I can create better and cheaper at home. I'm not a gourmet cook but I do well. This resturant made me happy. It's not "surprising" but it's darn good. It's clean and simple, but done well, taking the time that I might not have and adding surprising touches. Menu is limited but offers enough choices for most tastes to be accomidated. My fiance has garlic/onion allergies and normally even after telling the waiter this, he still ends up miserable. Not here. Food was good quality and actually worth the slightly higher prices. It seemed very clear that everything was made to order. The kitchen is open to view but done well. I can feel for the cooks but in this case, it seemed to be more friendly and welcoming then a fake show. To be clear, prices are still much lower than anything else trying this type of food and the quality is worth it.

Everything was fresh, the staff was good, managed to keep our glasses filled (which is rare) and still managed to stay on the right side of the fine line between attentive and annoying. Everyone helps each other out but doens't make you feel like they're helping because your server abandoned you. The ambiance is great for both casual family and first date. Nice without overwhelmingly stuffy. Lovely patio. Decor was done well and is kept very clean. Having managed resturants in the past, dust is a telling sign for anyone that knows that the cleaning and hygience is skimped on. Not here - even after being opening for a while, it's very very clean. While I didn't sit at the bar, I noticed there were hooks for purse straps tucked in under the counter, out of the way but easy to find. Very nice touch. I'm writing reviews anywhere I can with the hopes we can keep this gem around. In an area with over ambitious resturants trying to be high end "atlanta" concept resturants, this is refreshing change.

The food is "simply" GREAT! Classic eclectic at it best!. I live in the Sandy Springs / Roswell area and dine out often. Oak Street Cafe, especially from a local?s perspective, is simply one of the best finds we have made in a long time. The food is quality "classic eclectic" (Burgers, Chicken, Pasta, Steak, Seafood and Salads) - there is something for everyone. From the Oak Burger to the Butternut Squash Risotto, every bite is exceptional (did I mention they make the best French fries in town). The ?eclectic? is best defined by their dessert selection that includes Bananas Foster, Chocolate Molten Cake and Creme Brulee ? all home made! The setting is casual and intimate with an open kitchen concept. The owners, Joe and Kim are fast becoming local celebrities and add that special something that keeps you coming back for more. FYI ? The Chicken Salads Sandwich is superb but only available during lunch or at Brunch on Sunday. Try it ? you won?t be disappointed.
