The Best of everything in a sports bar!!
by gmen4life77 at Citysearch
My buddies and I stumbled upon this fantastic bar about a year ago, as diehard GIANTS fans we were looking for a bar to call our own...we found it! Not only are the owners cool, the food is fantastic, the wait staff is great and it's a very comfortable place to chill with friends, watch the game, and eat.
We'll be going back in a few weeks, this is the OFFICIAL NY GIANTS BAR in ATLANTA, GA. Thanks to Hal,who is a great guy and is one of the owners of On the Rocks.
Forget the rest, this bar rocks!
- Pros: everything
- Cons: none
Unprofessional, rude management, bad service...over charged me and haven't gotten the money back a WEEK LATER
by SandySpringsFolks at Citysearch
On The Rocks is near where I live, and had been closed for quite some time. When I approached the restaurant for the first time thinking they were open, I got an earful from the owners about how horribly run the place was and how they were going to turn it all around and it was opening in just a few days. the fact that it opened 2 months later should have been an indicator.
The food here is decent, but the thick clouds of smoke, slow service, sloppy & unprofessional waitstaff just make the whole place seem trashy. Rough-around-the-edges locals& alcoholics crowd the place late-night. Management is always saying or doing something perverted, most of the drink specials are along those lines as well ("bl*w job" shot special, show your a** and get half off, etc.). Not a place I'd bring the kids.
Most of the waitstaff here are underage teenagers who act as if taking your order is inconveniencing them from their routine of sneaking cigarettes behind the bar, flirting with the other staff, and talking on their cell phones. The last server I had started off grouchy, then seemed increasingly under the influence of dr*gs or alchohol throughout the night, flirting and being innapropriate with the men at our table. By the time we were finished, we waited 45 minutes just for our checks, and the server was always very, very slow at bringing the next round of beers in spite of it being a fairly slow, well-staffed night. I ended up having to track her down to get our checks, at which point she was rude to me and seemed so under the influence of whatever that she literally couldn't figure out how to split the checks. My check was about $23, the next morning I realized my check had been run FIVE TIMES. It has been exactly seven days and I've called every day trying to get the money back and management keeps promising it will be fixed---each time I have to take my own time to call again and again. I will never go back---still don't have back my $100.

I Hated to see Bridgetown Grill Leave...... But "On the Rocks" is REALLY Good! We have had so many nice meals and lazy evenings watching the traffic sit still! The food is good and the drinks are plentiful! The wine list is extensive for a place that you would not expect to see... Try it. Fun and the Patio is a whole new experience!
