“The ambience is wonderful - the decor, the background music, and even live Greek music on the weekends - free of charge!”
“The Greek wine is wonderful.”
“And I will mention we had an amazing experience, we got the best service, food was delicious, and we didn't have to wait to long to get it.”
“would say next to some of the best taverna's in old Athen's this place is as close as it comes to being in Greece!”
“All in all, the food outweighed the poor service and I would recommend this restaurant.”
“Really wonderful homemade gyro meat (always important) and the value was good.”

Don't change anything. Best lamb chops I had in a while. Calamari is mouth watering.
My first visit was excellent. had a wonderful 3 hour lunch with my wife and felt like we were back in Greece on our honey moon 14 years ago! Excellent food, great pricing and a wonderful atmosphere. The owner showed me around and their kitchen is very clean and organized. We plan to be back for dinner soon and we highly recommend this small restaurant to all our friends and family.
Positive Experience. BLU Greek Taverna prepares the best hummus in town! I bought a mass quantity at the Marietta Artisans and Farmer's market last week. DELICIOSO!
Message to owner: if you don't care about your customers or the quality of your food, go ahead and close already. My husband and I have been five or six times and would go more but we have small children. However, tonight was our last visit. They were unapologetically out of several things, including things that were supposed to come with our dinner but claimed those things were "bonus" items and weren't factored into the price anyway. The food was terrible across the board (except the pita and black olive spread), including what tasted like rancid tahini. We have been rooting for this restaurant to make it, but it's clear now why we are usually dining alone. Apparently, we had been getting lucky on our past visits, but our luck ran out tonight. Spend your money ANYWHERE else. They could care less about your dining experience.
Mediocre, overpriced, surly, and 20% gratuity included.
My wife and I and another couple ate at the Blu Greek Taverna off Marietta square last night. The atmosphere was pleasant and we were greeted and taken directly to our table. We ordered two appetizers for the table, a grilled eggplant spread and a kalamatta olive spread. The olive spread was OK but uninspired (i.e. chopped olives), the eggplant had an awful after taste. We all tasted and disliked it. We tried to send it back and were told it was the grilled flavor and was supposed to taste that way (although she hadn't had it). I tried again saying we didn't like it, had no one else mentioned that it didn't taste right? No, we were the first complaint. At that she took the plate I handed her, which seemed to irritate her. The entrees arrived and were all four just OK. I had the Moussaka which was mediocre and served along with canned fruit and soggy rice . At this point our experience was still only a bit below mediocre. Then the bill arrived; she had not removed the inedible spread from the bill and had generously tipped herself 20% adding insult to injury. Apparently, they add gratuity to ALL bills, regardless of the size of the party. We won't be back.
Another reviewer called this "Marietta's best Greek food." Do yourself a favor, if you want Greek food, leave Marietta. You will do better almost anywhere else other than the Blu Greek.
Most Romantic Spot outside the perimiter. Candles everywhere, great music, soft lighting, great food and service and excellent pricing.!
Fabulous. We went there Sunday night for the first time. Great experience. Food was Delicious, Presentation was great our service was Excellent. We give it 2 thumbs up. We will be back. Thank you guys at Blu and more thanks to our waitress Army to make it even better with her suggestions.
BLU-simply tasty!. I went two weekends ago with my girlfriend. The place smelled great ( I think they had incenses lit). This was my second time and I noticed that the Lounge area was rearranged, making the place seem more welcoming. We ordered the Hallumi Saganiki (flaming goat cheese), the mix grill for 2, and a carafe of the house red wine. Everything was great. Our server Armie, she was sweet and attentive. The bill was over 100$, but so worth it. We will be back for a third round! I give this place an A+++!
Rude Rude Rude!. There are not enough words to tell you how awful this restaurant is. I have a son who is a tattoo artist and so he has tattoos. He is well mannered, clean cut and extremely respectful. He and his friend went into this restaurant last Saturday night and the hostess after seating them treated them as if they were lepers. She was rude, loud and obnoxious. She basically did not want to serve them because of their appearance. What year is this? 1963? When my son asked to speak to the manager she informed him she was the daughter of the owner and she wasn't going to go get her father. She was so awful to them that she brought my son's female friend to tears and had the whole restaurant in stunned silence. Go here if you want, if you think everyone should look like carbon copies of each other, if you have no respect for human decency, if you judge others purely out of ignorance and think that you have the right to treat others poorly because you don't like the way they look. Perhaps they should make it a restaurant policy that unless you meet the criteria of being white, blue eyed, and conservative you are not allowed to eat there. I am appalled and outraged that this kind of discrimination still exists!
