“The classification of their wines is helpful in exploring new tastes.”
“Most importantly, John and Manjula have been great at guiding me to new "gems" based on my likes and dislikes and have never steered me wrong in a food pairing.”
“great place to discover new wines”
“His prices are very reasonable.”
Questionable Selection & Pricing. I went into this wineshop after I FINALLY found a place to park one day after work this week to check it out. I went in armed with my wine spectator iphone app to check my wishlist. Nothing in stock on the wishlist (not that unusual). The things I did find that WS had reviewed were released at prices lower than what Hall's was charging. They DO have some bottles from obscure wineries or at least ones not distributed very widely around here. Based on what I saw being "recommended" I would proceed with caution and expect to pay more for what is perhaps an inferior bottle.
You Gotta Go!!.
John is so nice and he will help you find the type of wine that you like so you wont waste money on buying
wines at other places that you may not like. His prices are very reasonable. We live in Columbus and will visit each time we go for appointments. He is also just a wonderful guy. He will find find the right wine for you.
So make a point to go!!
Awsome location!.
Great selection, and if you live downtown, it's the best. They are very helpful in helping you pick out wines for any meal. :)
I go every week!
A great place to discover new wines. Hall's is a great place to discover new wines. The classification of their wines is helpful in exploring new tastes. Sign up for the newsletter to be notified of tastings which have also been a great way to explore. Most importantly, John and Manjula have been great at guiding me to new "gems" based on my likes and dislikes and have never steered me wrong in a food pairing. I would not hesitate to buy a $50+ bottle of wine from either of them.
Editorial Review. More than a wine store, this establishment also is an Atlanta spot for wine tastings and classes.
