“He asked how we liked the food and service, and we told him that the entire experience was lovely--from the atmosphere to the food to the service.”
“The desserts are delicious, I recommend the rum cake and bread pudding-to die for.”
“But definately order a beer and enjoy some good food.”
“I've indulged in the braised Oxtails, Conch Fritters, Grilled Wings, Fettucine, Collard Greens (there must be a secret ingredient in these greens as they are addictive) and Curry Chicken and have never had a disappointing meal here yet.”
“The food taste very authentic and comes in large portions; plenty of leftovers whether you order from the lunch or dinner menu.”
“Usually, when you go to a Caribbean restaurant that has good food you get allot of attitude and the place is never really upscale or too clean.”
“food average, not as flavorful as jamaican food can be; service full of attitude, seen owner/chef twice and he hasn't greeted anyone-his establishment you would think he would at least say welcome or hello/good day; prompt food service; decor very nice; v”
“Yes, service was slow, but the place was empty on a Friday night so it wasn't hard to flag down the only waiter when we needed him.”
“poor service, even the owner didn't speak/greet, over priced, food avg.”

They carry all if the Jamaican favorites you know and love, but their oxtails hold a special place in my heart.
Try the Curry Goat & Cajun Crab Claws with a side of one of their #CayaRum cocktails!!!! One of the best Caribbean spots I've EVER eaten at in my life - Chef Rob definitely knows what he's doing.
i've eaten at Chef Rob's countless
times and it's great every time. Consistent food, consistent service.
I shared the curry goat w/ jasmine rice & cabbage with a friend and had the curry shrimp w/ white rice special myself.
we had the Caya Jamaican Rum in cocktails which were really yummy and hit the spot for sure.
great atmosphere feeling to it, feels almost like you're in a Caribbean hut eating local food! the music is key to adding that island vibe that polishes it off perfectly.
the new Upscale Lounge is probably my favorite part, it's open until 2 am, has hookah for only $15 ALL NIGHT and a awesome full service bar. the furniture/ booths look chic and sexy and make me want to come back every night. perfect to hang out or even take a client to for a business meeting!
5/5 would come back again for sure.
DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT. Me, my mother and some friends of mind went here for dinner on Sunday. The waitress was very, very, very rude......for it to be JAMAICIAN FOOD it was not really good. If you want great Jamaican food....go to Caribbean Fiesta in Alpharetta.
DO NOT EAT at this restaurant. Me and some co workers went to Chef Rob on lunch in February..... the waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu and appeared tired.....the food was awful....I have never tasted Jamaician food this bad before. I ordered the white meat jerk chicken which tasted like sugar......the color was weak and they included a piece of a chicken back......the rice and peas, didnt have any peas....the food didnt have any season. or spices. .oh course the meal didnt include plantains....I was so disgusted with the food and the price. the portion size was ridiculous.....I dont see how this place stays in business....Chef Rob's get an F in my book......I forgot we ordered the peppered shrimp and they was mushy....Please dont waste your money at this place, go to All Island Cafe on Memorial Dr, you will not be disappointed.........
Best meal ive had in a long time. Service was prompt and friendy, it was our first time and the waitress took time to go over specials and house specialties. Me and my fiancee eat out a LOT and this was the best meal that we had in a while. We argued the whole way home about who's food was better. I had the strip steak and she had the cuban lime chicken. both had mashed potatoes, I had collard greens, and she had the plaintains. Jerk Grilled wings for appetizers set it off right. Can't wait to return. Shout out to Mecca!
Stay away.
I tried the combination jerk chicken and curry chicken, at $13. By effectively ordering "2" chicken dishes, I expected to find a little bit of chicken somewhere! There was one small leg, and several tiny, boney, "knuckles". There was less than 2 bites of chicken in the entire meal. For the restaurant, this clearly was NOT a culinary choice; it was a budgetary choice. My dessert was key lime pie which was served frozen solid.
The positives: The waitress was very pleasant and helpful. The rice and stir-fry were tasty, as was the curry sauce (the sauce was the only thing I could get from the curry chicken).
I won't be going back, and I'll advise my friends to steer clear of this place. Apparently, Chef Rob was absent during most of Restaurant Management 101.
Caribbean Food in the ATL. Nice to see a Caribbean restaurant with a twist and yet traditional flavor you love. Nice neighborhood spot and atmosphere. Sweet fried plantains on the menu!
AWESOME FOOD. Best lemon-pepper wings anywhere on the planet. And the basic j erk (weird censor) chicken plate with the "slaw" is fantastic as well. They serve a big appetizer sampler plate which is easily enough to feed two big men and has all kinds of good stuff. And you can get it half-price before 5pm (I think).
What delightful experience!.
Worth the search, this little GEM had it all. Friendly greeters, smiling waitress, good service and fantastically delicious, beautifully presented starters and entrees. Hot items served and remained hot until the last bite while cold plate items were chilled to perfection.
The live, carribean background one man band was a pleasure to listen to and added a touch of the islands which enhanced our dinning pleasure.
Pricing was in line with the proportions however the presentation was beyond expectation. "Grilled Shrimp Skewers" looked almost too good to eat, so we took a picture, before we devoured them.
Truly, our only regret was not having room for dessert. I was dying to try the "White Chocolate Bread Pudding Drizzled with Bailey Irish Cream Sauce". Next time we'll bring friends, what a great way to start or finish an evening out. Thank you,
Thanks for stopping by the restaurant and hopefully we will see you soon. I am sorry that you didn't have room for dessert but please come by and try our selection of teas and our rich Blue Mountain Coffee along with some dessert. We also now have Pina Colada Cheesecake.
