A relaxing atmosphere and an enjoyable experience. J's is a place that is very easy to explain, but very difficult to do justice to. When you walk into J's, you instantly know that you're in the right place. J and Robert are immeasurably helpful and knowledgeable. The selection of cigars is dazzling and borderline overwhelming (in the best possible way.) If you walk in with a friend or two it's a great place to talk, have a cigar, and maybe play a game of chess. If you walk in alone you'll instantly feel welcomed by everyone inside, as if you're part of a secret club. If you haven't been yet, you're really missing out.

Heaven on Earth. I'm very eager to write this review to get the word out on J's Cigars. Located in the heart of midtown (off of Howell Mill Rd.) at the intersection of Collier and Defoors Ferry, you'll find one of the nicest, most knowledgable shop owners-- J.

I happened to find this shop by accident one day and I've been hooked ever since. J's Cigars has a wonderful selection of cigars and pipe tobacco/pipe accessories as well as hookah tobacco/accessories and clove cigarettes.

Prices are literally unbeatable-- J really wants to please his customers! The environment's super friendly, very welcoming, and utterly relaxing. You may enjoy a cup of tea, black ceylon or herbal green, or you may opt for a cup of coffee or an espresso while you smoke your cigar, play a game of chess, or watch a game on one of the flat screens.

On one occasion, I forgot my wallet and instead of saying, "no cash, no product", J told me I could pay when I came back and I definitely went back.

Folks, this sort of thing doesn't happen anymore.

You'll certainly experience heaven at J's Cigars!

J's is the right place to smoke.. I do not smoke at any other cigar lounge than J's Cigars unless I am out of town. J is a genuinely good man who is knowledgeable about life and tobacco. He and his business partner Robert keep the place running every day of the year, always "until the last cigar is smoked."

The selection is fantastic, with sticks ranging from inexpensive house blends ($3.95 "Cuban Seed" churchills and Dominican pyramids) to OpusX, Padrón Aniversario, Tatuaje, Diamond Crown, Gurkha, Dunhill, and Cohiba. The walk-in humidor includes a wide variety of everyday smokes, well-known brands, and even a few rare varieties, such as the Hemingway Maduro and Fuente Añejo.

Inside the lounge are leather couches, a few chess tables, a bar with coffee and Persian tea, and two TV's. There are periodic events and "smoke-outs" as well as an annual Christmas party. J is always friendly and welcoming to customers, new and old. If you want good smoke, good conversation, and a good time, come to J's Cigars. Everyone is always welcome.

J's Cigars is the place to be. I just moved from Seattle, a place where even cigar lounges were outlawed. So going to a cigar bar was a new expereince. When I walked it, the smell of the aromas mixing from several lits cigars make a very pleasent atmosphere. Jay, the owner has been working there in that spot for years and I can tell he has been sucessful, he isnt out to make money so his prices are the best in town.

J's cigar house is also a coffee shop. While right now He only serves drip coffee and tea while his expresso machine is being repaired. Chess is the game of choice at J's though they are trying to organize a poker tourney where the winner will get a selection of cigars.

A place where you're away at home. The first time I walked into J's i was taken back by a breath of fresh air, a shop where you are GENUINELY welcomed and remembered. It is in a way like Cheers, "A place where everybody always knows your name." J has a way of making people feel that way, and because of that he attracts the same kind of clientel. There is a fine cigar collection with equally matching expertise, and the prices beat just about anyone in town. I recommend J's for when you want to relax, unwind, enjoy stimulating conversation, or engage in a game of chess.

Friendly atmosphere and owners and great price on cigars, lower than most.. This shop has a good mixture of people. Very freidnly atmosphere and hospitable owners Jay and Dan. Very good prices on cigars and a wide selection with a walk in humidor. Two flat screen TV's and lounge area. Most diffentately a place I will frequent.
