Great Tattooing
by emmorley76
I don't know what other reviewers are talking about with it being pretentious, unfriendly or pervy.
I had a wonderful experience here. I had 2 tattoos done by Joe Vegas as did my husband. They all came out wonderfully. The price is good, the work is excellent and the salon was extremely clean.
Everyone was very helpful, friendly and easy going. Will definitely be going again and I would recommend to friends.
- Pros: clean, friendly, reasonbly priced
average talent, huge egos, rude, cocky environment

If you'd like to pay too much for a mediocre tattoo and get looked down on by the arrogant staff, by all means head to 13 Roses. There counter "help" consists of an arrogant 19 year old looking scenester chick who thinks she totally rules cause she makes minimum wage at a tattoo shop, and a 19 year old looking scenster dude that appears to have taken his last shower maybe 3 or 4 months ago. To be fair though, he's only slightly cocky and somewhat friendly. Most of the artists that work there have very poor personal hygiene, so I totally get the "creepy, pervy vibe" the other reviewer picked up. Hell I'm covered in ink and I still shower and brush my teeth daily.
This shop has no nationally known artists, yet acts as if its gods gift to the tattoo community. Atlanta literally has dozens of wonderful, award winning shops. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The guys at 13 Roses are average at best, rude and overpriced at worst, and they're posers to boot.
- Pros: nice decor
- Cons: horrible service, hohum talent
Love it!

This place is awesome. The atmosphere is great, the tattoo artists are awesome and professional. Pervy guy? Not sure what she's talking about... I never got that vibe. Yes, everyone there looks like people that usually work in tattoo shops (ie., they have tattoos and piercings...) so if that freaks you out then... don't hang around a tattoo shop? Anyway, I've only had good experiences there. The first time I got my tattoo I was really nervous and the guy was very sweet about it. He let me know he had over 30 years of experience and told me exactly what it would feel like. He was quick and did a great job. The second time I got a huge tattoo on my back of a cross and I wasn't really sure what I even wanted to design to look like. Danielle drew out a beautiful design and worked with me, even though I was a little picky. Although it wasn't quick it looks fantastic and I got a great price on it. It took around an hour with all the shading and it was $145. I would recommend this place to anyone and I'm never going any place else.
- Pros: Clean, nice staff, good price, beautiful tattoos.
- Cons: It's in a kind of sketchy part of town.
