These sandwiches are FAR OUT, MAN!

I love this place. It's just a little unassuming sub joint, but the food is so great that's all they need. The only seating is outdoors in a covered awning, but I usually just grab lunch and go. The staff is very friendly, especially the main guy that oversees the place. I have been there maybe a half dozen times, but he recognizes me and is very friendly to everyone that comes in. The other staff are usually good about following his lead, which is impressive considering they're probably just your average college kid working for nothing. The sandwich menu is VAST and they are good about getting your order to you quickly. I highly recommend the #1 (the DAVE) and the Meatball sub. Best meatball sub I've ever eaten. The cosmic sauce on the sandwiches (probably some kind of italian dressing) gives the sandwiches a great flavor. My usual complaint about sub places is dry, tasteless food, but Dave's knows how to avoid it. I pretty much hate all hippies, but I love Dave's Cosmic Subs. More hippies need to get skills like that and lay off the pipe.

Friendly Staff, Fast Service

When I'm in a rush, I stop by Dave's to pick up lunch. I love their turkey subs. People rave about the "Cosmic Sauce." All sandwiches have funky names such as "Rock and Roll" and the interior has a psychadellic vibe. Customers can pay and order inside, but can eat outside on a small deck. At lunch time it gets busy, but the sandwiches are made quickly while you wait and the staff is personable and friendly. The chain started in Ohio and has expanded to this Atlanta location. Definitely stop by for a quick lunch.
