Atlanta's favorite delicatessen makes a bustling mark in Colony Square.. In Short
Closer to feeling like you're caught in the middle of Penn Station rush hour than its other locations, Goldberg's in Colony Square has just the right amount of fast-paced, NYC moxie to pass for he real thing. Decor is simple with high-top seating and colorful mural art donning the walls, but the real eye candy's the meal. Sample the de rigueur Jewish deli exotica: kippered salmon, herring in sour cream, chopped liver, and beef tongue. Breakfast bagels come out quick and are appropriately NY-loaded. So whether you go the classic sandwich route (hot pastrami on rye), or just get tuna salad on a bagel, it's hard to go wrong. In a hurry? Grab one of the deli's pre-made and famous po'boys--it's the ideal quick lunch, with the possibly of leftovers.

Great bagels!. I love the jalapeno cheese bagel! It's really more of a binali than a bagel... =) They are always fresh and soft! I used to never eat salads, for lunch...more as a side to a meal. Since I tried their grilled chicken pre-made salad, I have been hooked. I eat them almost every day. There is just enough toppings, on the small one, to keep you satisfied 'til dinner and I couldn't reproduce the taste, even making my own at Whole Foods. I prefer spinach over lettuce. There is a salad with spinach, but doesn't have all the toppings I like. The manager has the staff make me a fresh one, with spinach (my favorite), when I request! Great customer service! As for the other reviews, commenting on service...This location is very busy at breakfast and lunchtime, due to Colony Square being a large mixed-use development. To expect McDonald's drive thru service, in a deli with REAL food, is ridiculous. Wait times are usually about 5 minutes, and all food is made-to-order. If you do happen to go during rush times, the wait can be about 10 minutes (for a meal/sandwich platter to go), but well worth the wait!

FYI -- They are closed (Colony Square Location), right now, on the weekends due to them opening another new store.

CLOSED ON WEEKENDS NOW. Just found that out first-hand. When they are open, I have frankly found the service to be slow and the food mediocre. But the bagels are good. This place is best for bagels to go, but now that they're closed on the weekends, they've seen my last dime.

Yummy!. Great place to grab a quick breakfast! So many bagel and cream cheese selections! Convenient location too. I love this place.

So-So Bagel's! Deli? Not Really!. As a kid growing up in Atlanta, we had great Deli's. We had Leb's, Katz's, Nosh 'O Rye, and even Happy Herman's, when Herman Mitchell owned it. Today, Atlanta is almost a waste land for good Deli's. We like the one at Toco Hills. Goldberg's is OK, just to pick-up Bagels to take home for the week. We are glad this location is nearby at Colony Square. But a Deli? That is not here. No Chutzpah here. Almost like being at a McDonald's. I challenge Atlantans. Somebody bring us a true Kosher NY Deli. It would do mob business.
