I went into J. Andrew's looking for a
bridal gown. I was excited and anticipating the fun day. However, the manager who I had my appointment with, Sarah, was in a very foul mood that day. She did not offer any help or advice or try to work with me to find what I was looking for. She was rude when I asked for things/dresses other than she had picked out and acted like going to get dresses for me to try on was a waste of her time.
However, I did find the perfect dress while I was there. The model dress was ivory and I needed white; Sarah said we could order it and get it in white in time for my wedding, but that it would cost a great deal more. I told her I needed to think about it and I would be back. I called back a couple days later and Sarah immediately told me that she, in fact, could *not* order it like she had said. She was very brusk and rude about it and did not offer to help me find anything else or to work with me to figure out a solution.
Disappointed, I started looking at used wedding dresses online to see if I could find something I liked. I found a dress that I thought would work, but wanted to try it on in person before I ordered it over the internet. Hoping J. Andrew's would be gracious, I went there yet another time to try on their model of the dress I had seen. Sarah again helped me, but even more begrudgingly than before. She was even more *extremely* rude. She gave me a dressing room and literally threw the dress in with me and walked away. I went home in tears.
Sarah definitely lost a customer and was altogether abominable. Maybe she knew from early on that J. Andrew's could not meet my bridal gown needs, but her lack of helpfulness and a good attitude also lost J. Andrew's a potential customer for wedding accessories, bridesmaid apparel, etc. and I would definitely *never* recommend them.
In response to the previous reviewer who was a Bride of J.Andrew's Bridal in November of 2011. I would like to address the review posted.
Our team is glad to know that on her wedding day our Bride looked beautiful in her dress and that it fit her perfectly, and two bridesmaids dresses were made right after a designer error. It is always our goal to
get each of our Brides and their attendants down the aisle looking beautiful. We acknowledge this reviewer had a difficult experience due to her bridesmaids dress order.
At J. Andrew's we always stress the importance of having the bridesmaids order on or before the order by date requested by us to ensure the dresses arrive with more adequate time and that last minute alterations and rush charges can be avoided. We also have to stress the importance of communication when there has been a change to the bridal party.
I agree it was very unfortunate that the designers made an error in the length of two bridesmaids dresses, it was a complication that was very rare, yet we addressed it quickly and made all the accommodations necessary including staying open late, arriving early and having shipments sent overnight.
When working with a bridal salon it is important to know you are choosing to work with a team of professionals that will do whatever it takes to correct any errors that may occur. J.Andrew's Bridal is well known for our very accommodating staff and our exceptional customer service. We strive for 100% satisfaction and when we fail to meet that goal, we appreciate the opportunity to learn and grow from every unique situation. We wish our Bride all the best in her future.
Wouldn't Recommend to my worst enemy. I had the biggest issues with this bridal store up until the night before my wedding. My dress turned out beautifully, but my bridesmaids were ran through the ringer. The dress order for the girls that placed their order before the deadline for expediting wasn't place until a month after the date. The dresses didn't arrive in Georgia until late October early November, I got married 11-11-11. Then two of the girls dresses were way too short, i picked floor length dresses, one of my bridesmaids was measured by the store manager and the dress might as well had been tea length. The my shortest bridesmaid her dress was also too short. So they had to order fabric from the vender detach the skirt and then cut a new skirt and sew it back onto the bodice. And on top of that they did nothing to help the girls out they had to pay for their dresses for the entire amount plus shipping and then on top of that the alterations. The only good thing I have to say about that place is the seamstress is amazing. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy because NO BRIDE deserves to go through that!! And the store manager was very condesending and unwilling to accept responsibility and when we spoke to the owner it did nothing for us either. So please ladies save yourself the headache go to Etain Bridal, I had them do my preservation and they are extremely helpful and nice.
Do not go here!. Not the place to shop for bridal gowns. Our sales lady was rude from the start and it just got worse the longer we were there. If you are on a budget they will make fun of how much you can spend and tell you this is not the place for you. When you try and leave they then tell you about there discontinued room with not so prices dresses. Also they tell you white is ugly and does not look good on anybody. Very pushy and not helpful in trying to find a dress or have a good experience shopping.
So thankful for J.Andrew's. I never could have imagined a more pleasant experience. They have a huge selection of dresses, but I ended up falling in love with the first one I tried on. Sarah made everything easy. I definitely recommend J. Andrew's!
Terrible Service. Terrible Service! They ordered the dress WAY too small. Seemed to care more about taking my money than making sure i got the perfect dress / perfect fit. Didn't let me know they didn't have a seamstress on a Saturday, told me to look on my receipt where it stated that. I ordered the dress over the phone, so i never got a receipt stating that! Very rude. Owner hung the phone up on me. Would not recommend to anyone!
