“Great food and service”
“Expensive quisine at affordable prices”
Had dinner last night at Capers with some friends. The food is absolutely fabulous. I just loved the Herb Encusted Grouper. It was beyond good!!! Every mouthful was fantastic!! Bravo Capers!! I'll be back.
it moved to old 41 & barrett pkwy, behind the racetrac in....
publix shopping center.......
it is really good food. try their sunday brunch too after church... 11am-3pm... comes with free fresh yeast rolls and strawberry butter they make there... the eggs benedict, steak and eggs, and peach french toast is delicious... plus they let you order the dinner menu if you arent feeling like brunch, but all your family/friends want brunch.
Love It!!!!. We love Capers on Main!! The food is absolutely delicious, the prices are very resonable and the atmosphere is AWESOME! We always have a very good experience when we go. We were there on a Sunday night and they have a live Jazz band that was great. The service is personable and quick and its a really good place to go on date night or if you just having a girls night out!! Capers is were you go for a good meal, good time and all around good experience without having to drive all the way to Buckhead! The new location is beautifully decorated and spacious! Still number one on my favorite places to eat!!!
NOT worth it !!!. I went here a while back, the food was OK, but not worth all the hype it gets. I have not returned since, and don't plan on going back. We had a long wait to eat, and then felt rushed out the door after we got out food. The resturant is very small so we had to sit on the patio, and it was winter. I will stick with Trackside.
My Dad come from NY and introduced me to Capers. I have been in Kennesaw for 12 years and never knew about Capers. My dad came to visit and had dinner there and that is where we dine every times he visits!! The food and service are what you expect in Atlanta- Kennesaw has stepped up!! Thank god. The crab fingers, steak, and apple pie was to die for. I am trying to get a whole pie to take to my dad for the holidays!! Keep up the good work.
Great Food and service.
I absolutely love Capers on Main. It is truly a hidden gem in Kennesaw. When I saw the location, I got a little worried but the food and service more than makes up for the location. The decor makes you feel as if you are having Sunday dinner in someone's home. Everyone that attended to us was great. We had the crab fingers to start...wonderful.....then we had their special version of a ceasar salad...wonderful, then my husband had the steak special and I had a pasta dish.....wonderful. We pushed ourselves to have the chocolate temptress for desert....wonderful. I can't wait to heat up my leftovers after I finish typing this entry.
I will definitely go back. I would compare the prices to a Houston's but the food is far superior. If you are looking for atmosphere and decor....go someplace else. However, if you want a great meal, great service and a cozy feel....definitely try Capers.
Pretty Good Considering It's Kennesaw. Capers wasn't as sensational as the other reviews made it sound, but it was very good considering it was Kennesaw & it's hard to find nice restaurants around that area - more so "nice" b/c of the food, not really the location/decor. The food was basically American - we had crab cakes, spinach/artichoke rolls & Capers house salad (best-tasting of the 3). It is nice to have a fancier food option than the other restaurants in Kennesaw but it wouldn't drive to dine here if it I didn't live in Woodstock. I would recommend Capers if you live in or close to Kennesaw/Acworth/Woodstock - this is one of the better options for restaurants in those areas. The worst part of Capers was the dirty, convienence store-esque bathroom - eeww! Dirt and grime all over the door & floors and it was located right next to the loud kitchen - I almost thought someone had directed me to a rear staff bathroom!
Made me write my first review!.
While I have read more than my fair share, I've never taken the time to actually write a review for a website like this. Capers convicted me to do that. This was an absolute treat. I took my wife there on the 10th anniversary of our first date. The setting was romantic but not boring. The service was very personable and knowledgeable, and the prices were very, very reasonable.
The food was phenomenal. I had conservative expectations based solely on the locale and facility, but the service and food are just as deserving as any of the finest restaurant structures in Atlanta. From the outside it doesn't look like much, but if you pass it by just based on that, like I did so many times, you'll miss a real gem!
Expensive quisine at affordable prices. if you are looking for big city dining, save yourself the trip and go to Capers. The food is fabulous, the atmosphere is wonderful and the price is just right! We enjoyed a delightful evening there, dining on the tasty chef specials. Everything from the appetizers to the great desserts was perfect. If you love lamb, I highly recommend this dish. To round out this perfect evening is the warm and friendly staff.
Great food and service.
You wouldn't believe that North Cobb (Kennesaw) could have such a wonderful upscale place to eat, but it does. Don't blink or you will miss it though. It's not the easiest place to find and is dwarfed by the Mexican restaurant close by.
Make a reservation!! this is the smallest restaurant i have ever seen, even smaller than the Grape in Vinings. You could put a large group in there, but definitely plan ahead. Most of the seating is on the patio. Was comfortable when we were there and I am told they have heaters in the winter time. Not sure how comfortable it would be in the summer. There are only 5-6 tables in the inside dining room.
Don't even try to not use the valet parking. I am not even sure where they put the cars, but the parking lot that you can see is packed and shared with the Mexican place next door.
The food is excellent though and the wine list boasts some local wines, which surprisingly are not too bad. Save room for desert -- it's hard, but try. The fried banana split has to be the most decadent and tasty dessert I have ever tried.
