WAS my favorite restaurant...... Okinawa was my favorite restaurant for several years....good quality meat and seafood, excellent service, and great food in general. I typically ate there two or three times a month with my family. However, they recently changed ownership, and the food quality is horrible. I had an "underwhelming" meal about a month ago, but decided to give them a second chance on 7/29/09. The shrimp, which used to be my favorite part of the meal, tasted old and fishy....I ordered the shrimp hibachi, and I could only eat two pieces. The crabmeat and steak were also well under par, compared to what I used to get. Worst of all was the Scorpion Roll, which was a phenomenal dish under the old management. Due to the poor qality shrimp and crab meat, I couldn't even choke down a second piece. With my family, it was the worst $100+ meal I've ever had. They have lost a very loyal customer....I will not be back. So disappointed with losing my favorite restaurant that I felt I had to leave this review.

great customer service, friendly staff. We enjoy eating here. We like the sushi. We have always had great service. The fishy smell that another viewer spoke of HELLO it is a sushi bar and they do serve fish. The wait can be a little timely at times but on Tuesdays and Wednesdays are there special deal nights. So if you are not one who likes a wait go one of the other 5 nights in the week. Over all the food and service are very good. We enjoy it.

Okinawa Review 4 Stars. Okinawa is one of those small places you occasionally find that turns out to be a favorite. We've eaten here at least 2 dozen times and the food & service is always better than average. Someone has written (poorly written in broken English) a bad review, but if you read between the lines you will see it must have been a competitor or 3rd grader. Okinawa is always clean and they usually have plenty of seating. I think they have 4 Hibachi Grills plus several tables and a Sushi Bar that seats 8-10 and a Drinking Bar, too, with several stools. Tuesday night is $1 Sushi, so the place is usually packed from 5:00 to 7:30. We've never had to wait. I take my best clients to Okinawa and never heard anyone complain. I've also taken family, who had never tried Sushi, and they love the place and go back for more.

WORST JAPANESE THAT I HAVE EVER HAD. I cannot believe they call this Japanese. First of all, It takes us 45 mins to be sited on a Tuesday night, while there are only two other tables. The place is way too small and cram. The decors are CHEESY. Music are way too loud. The sushi bar is not well stocked and there are fishy odor, the what they so call bar is just a counter with two stools right by the front door; talking about draft during winter time. They sited us right by the bathroom. Can you image the Habachi chef cooking and we are eating right outside of where people do their business, NASTY. What really make us mad was my server gave us drink with his finger sticking in it. The foods were blend, My girlfriend swear the meats are sour. It was way over price. I will NOT eat here again.

What can I say - everything is always excellent!. I am a big fan of Japanese steakhouses and this one is no exception. The service is always great. The food is consistently excellent. Do yourself a favor and visit them one evening - you won't regret it.
